He doesn’t even have his facts straight about the CRADA purpose. From the 2009 HTS peer review presentation on the LANL/STI CRADA first viewgraph

The first obvious falsehood is that by using “so” (it means consequently in this context) he is linking the first phrase with the second and there is absolutely no evidence that the two events are linked in anyway. (and lots against)
Hmm “can’t deliver” – what can’t they deliver? Wire? Who say’s they have to deliver wire. He’s the only one I know about…and what does he base that on…nothing!
Thus his statement " 'The DOE concluded that STI can't deliver" is a lie. He has NO EVIDENCE of this ...it is his phony/false conclusion based upon the fact that DOE is not giving STI any new contracts. (this entire statement is fact)

- DOE does not give contracts or grants away. They are awarded based on evaluation of proposals submitted in response to an RFP. It is a matter of federal law. (fact)
-I have proven by the statements in the recent 10Q (they are probably in the 10K as well) that STI is not pursuing Government R&D contracts because they are devoting their engineering resources to their Wire production project. (fact).
Furthermore the CRADA was between STI and LANL, NOT the DOE. Refer to those viewgraphs (from dtic.mil) I referenced in an earlier -post. It is the head of the Government lab that approves a CRADA. (facts)

Incidently you are apparently ignorant of the fact that a company will only receive a grant if the company responds to an RFP (request for proposal) for a project covered by grants.

Also you might try reading the STI 10Q they posted recently:

"We had no government contract and other revenues in the current period compared to $55,000 in the first quarter of 2012. This decrease is attributable to the completion of two minor contracts in 2012 and our current use of our relatively fixed engineering resources for our HTS wire research and development." And remember, a CRADA is not a vehicle under which STI can derive revenue from the government so don't try to link their statement to your ridiculous claim about their losing their CRADA to Grdi-Logic who WAS given a GRANT because they APPLIED for it via their PROPOSAL!

So they are using all their engineering manpower resources to get the wire production up and running! They don't have time to write proposals and wait for Government R&D contracts or grants.

Well at least some factual information, but you might recall you stated in your post that they hadn't made it to any stage 2 evaluations. If they hadn't made it to stage 2 then there wouldn't be any orders for that stage. Again you show your ignorance of English the "ing" ending in English has many uses. One of which is to indicate ongoing or continous action. That can occur in the past, present or future. ction ongoing in the present. He also stated they were "producing longer lengths. Production is not an endless process, it is a continuous process where some part end and a new part begins. Therefor ing ending does not state anything about whether anything has been completed or not as you appear to incorrectly believe. You don't have to believe me, search for " my.englishclub" and see if you can learn anything. I doubt it, but try.

I will also point out that in order to receive any revenue in this quarter they must deliver, and get paid... From the financial summary by Buchanan: "....the day sales outstanding for the first quarter ran at about 40 days." That means it takes an average of 40 days from shipment to payment!.. Thus they have already been delivering to get revenue this quarter IMO....your rational is simply ignorant and stupid...and I believe deliberate. Your recent posting history shows that! And that's proof positive enough for me. Others can make up their own minds!

The unmasked idiot claimed that Grid Logic was given a grant because STI couldn't perform under their CRADA. And then cites a PR which states the duration (until Dec 2013) of the CRADA. This is an excellent example of both being a lie and his ignorance
The PR is meaningless BECAUSE DOE DOES NOT FUND any company under a CRADA! In fact under many CRADA's the commercial partner often provides money to the Government lab. Grid logic is a low temperature technology company looking at Superconducting nanocompostites. It received a DARPA-E grant award. To be eligible the technology had to be such that it was too early for private sector investment (See DOE press release of 12 November 2012).
A CRADA is a company funded "Cooperative Research and Development Agreement" for which STI did not get a single penny, but they did get the SDP and IBAD processes from that CRADA effort. "

The facts are that none of the FY 2012 CRADAs were funded by the Obamanation government and the labs were presumeably directed towards other activities. For all we know the labs had a RIF. If you read the STI & Lab presentations about the CRADA effort you will see that activity was planned for 2012..but DOE stopped that program...even the "fool" has stated that!

II suggest you do a web search for CRADA and look for the presentation by the Defense Technical Information Center
Pay particular attention to slide 3 (definition), slide 4 what OBE stands for, slide 6 which permits labs to accept funds from an OBE and slide 7 which states: "CRADA selection not subject to FAR (because no funds go from Govt. to OBE)" {FAR stands for Federal Acquisition Regulations).

GRID logic was given a grant in response to a proposal they submitted...an entirely different process.

I wonder if unmasked the idiot learned anything about what a CRADA really is...He's apparently abandoned his lied about the Government "cancelling" the CRADA...especially when STI is self -funding as a minimum and may have provided funds to the US Government labs and considering they got both the SDP and the IBAD processes from the Government and they are both in full production readiness, whatever STI paid was well worth the expense.
