So does 100s of other new technology companies that are building new technology./platform and getting bought for billions. Remember Whatsapp? Had no revenue. Was bleeding cash and got paid for 17billion for it. Revenue is all that matters for a private equity firm or an acquirer. The margin can be fixed.
I doubt they have very similar technology. And i bet Google could have developed a learning thermostat for lot less than 4 billion dollars. In any case FUEL's current valuation is beyond ridiculous by any valuation metrics. The stock is currently under the firm grip of the short sellers and hedge funds (not sure) but one day it has to get fixed. And BTW, the stock is down 20% on Greece crisis but I doubt there will be even 1 dollar impact on FUEL's revenue whether Greece goes out of Euro or not.
I am extremely surprised. Google paid 4 billion dollars for a learning thermostat (NEST) and there is no taker for even 1 billion dollars for arguably the most sophisticated advertising platform based on AI and big data. Even more surprising is the fact that entire internet business model is based on advertising. So, you would think there is demand for an advertising platform. .
I agree and the market is unbelievably stupid in the short term. Even a billion dollar won't be enough to build the technology that FUEL has built and the it is valued at less than 350 million. All the #$%$ in the society like hedge funds come out of the woodwork whenever they smell a crisis and beat the #$%$ out the small investors.
This is actually a good thing. These ridiculous prices will put pressure on the management to sell the company. and I expect at least $15/share in a possible buyout. So, I see a lot of upside.
I agree. This is the most bizarre reaction to earnings I have ever seen in my 20 years of investing.. I have seen better reaction to earnings that missed or lowered. And not that FNSR was valued like NFLX or some other high flying stocks. Hopefully these low prices will start some takeover rumor.
You are out of your mind. I doubt AMGN has ever gone up over 11% in one day in the past 5 years. I would be more than happy if it hits 160 tomorrow.
