Don't be so sure. Restructuring attorneys at this stage have one purpose, and that's to make the bond holders an offer they can't refuse 1) take a haircut, or 2) risk losing everything if the company goes under because of your refusal to negotiate. Hopefully whatever deal they work out will give CHK the ability to continue to operate and service the debt they have left. That's unless energy prices continue to decline which will probably put CHK into another round of negotiations.
Sorry about that man. In my opinion never a good idea to buy a stock that opens low with heavy volume so early in the trading session. A lot of volatility. I would probably abandon ship now that's trading a 2, or risk waiting until lunch to see if it recovers. Either way I wouldn't hold on to this past today. It might come back but you'll have to deal with a lot of pain in the coming days.
