Mantravadi is my surname, you dolt! Your bigotry knows no bounds, does it?

Meanwhile, you don't stop whining like an old maid. LOL!

CornFlower is back with his usual pathetic attempts at semantics & word play. Dell always sold Linux workstations. It's when Dell started offering Ubuntu PCs for sale to home users that the Linux fecktards made a big noise & announced that a Linux revolution has started.

Yet, after a couple of years, when Dell silently discontinued selling Ubunut PCs for home users, not one Linux fecktard commented on it. If Dell offering Ubuntu PCs for sale to home users is a big event, doesn't discontinuing it merit a comment? SJVN claimed that Dell is "readying the next batch" of Ubuntu PCs, which have never arrived. None of the other Linux 'advocates' (aka liars) said anything. That includes CornFlower, who glibly claims home users are free to buy Linux PCs from Dell. Self-deception comes easily to Linux losers.

Dell is again offering some ultra cheap Ubuntu PCs to home users. Clearly, this has done little to affect Linux's fortunes on the desktop, because Linux usage share continues to hover around the 1% mark despite this new revolution again. LOL!

Multimedia on Linux is a joke. This continues to be one of the many areas where the Linux users feel like second class citizens served by a third rate OS. Adobe gave up on Flash development for Linux. The video drivers continue to be flaky. There is usually an article on Slashdot every couple of months describing how a certain video driver is dead slow on Linux.

Sound is known to be a clusterfeck on Linux. So much so that even the GoogleTards have commented on it. Instead of addressing underlying problems, the Linux fecktards keep coming up with layer upon layer of band aids and patches. There are literally dozens of "subsystems" for Audio on Linux. And nothing works satisfactorily (which explains why there are so many of them - each tries to fix the others' shortcomings while introducing faults of its own). Last I looked, there's no netflix on Linux & no iTunes.

Linux is one fecked up OS, with a bunch of losers trying to use it while telling themselves and others that "everything is fine". ROFL!

This is good news for Windows tablets, though Windows PCs continue to sell in hundreds of millions a year and make MS billions of dollars a year.

  • Trying to use Linux on the desktop is a sure way to kill yourself technologically.

You can read about the hare brained scheme by Binging for wottard's headline. They apparently want to merge 15 different OS to come up with a replacement for Windows. ROFL! Yeah right. Can't see anything wrong with that plan, fecktards!

    Stop whining, disposableTard.

Nobody would think you are an ex-soldier the way you whine about things. No matter when we Indians visit this board, you are always wailing about something or the other. You are like one of these little dogs that keep growling and whining in a low noise all the time. They are never happy with anything.

Windows 10 is very good, and very successful. Save your breath.

LOL! You are suffering from a powerful delusion! Windows remains the most popular OS for computing. For toy shet, people make do with toy OS (or even prefer them because they are lightweight).

The fact that lots & lots of Win 8 uses stuck with it rather than switching to Linux shows that even the less popular Windows versions are more popular than rival OS.

    Linux remains a joke.

    Things You’ll Hate

The way disposableTard returns every few hours to post more FUD about Windows 10, you'd think this bum is getting paid to do this. But I doubt it. In addition to being senile, he is dumb to start with. He probably really thinks he is "making a difference", the poor fecker.

While some of the privacy concerns about Windows 10 are not misplaced, we've had privacy concerns with several Windows releases. Things always resolved themselves to people's satisfaction in the past. No reason to think they won't, this time.

Meanwhile, despite the hapless Linux fecktards' noise, Windows 10 usage is surging like nothing that came before it. Windows 10 is a super duper success. If disposableTard were not highly delusional, the reality would have caused him grievous harm! LOL!

Sentiment at the ground level is well known & reported several times over the years.

Linux has been imposed & inflicted. Like communism. LOL!

"compatible and runs on all platforms"

Heh! This is what the advertisement says. The truth is, the free 'alternatives' to Office are good for nothing. It's nothing but a scam - we just heard about that Italian city. Beggar boys like disposableTard, who have little experience in actually using that software in a corporate setting, may 'recommend' and 'advocate' and give quotes like the above.

People find out how disastrously bad the free software 'alternatives' are only when they try to use them. By then, it's too late - the money is already wasted.

God, what a clown disposableTard is! Hey dipshet, I've told you MS acted promptly after the flaw was found.

  • ram.mantravadi ram.mantravadi Aug 19, 2015 2:48 PM Flag

The 'migration' only 'worked' because this is a government that 'migrated'. It's well known that the government employees put in very little actual work. If their computer is good for nothing (like all Linux PCs are), then that's just another way for them to escape their work.

People that need to get some actual work done may have already started using Windows PCs on their own. 15,000 is a smoke screen. The sentiment at the ground level is well known - nobody is happy with the ridiculous Limux. Everybody wants Windows. Linux has been successfully inflicted on a bunch of hapless people for ideological reasons (or may be, someone got a hefty bribe from IBM at the proposal stage).

  • ram.mantravadi ram.mantravadi Aug 19, 2015 2:40 PM Flag

Is true. By issuing the patch promptly after discovery, MS has acted responsibly.

Compare & contrast this with Google, who completely ditched older Android versions despite *numerous* *serious* security holes found in them on a *regular* basis. God, what a joke Google is!

  • ram.mantravadi ram.mantravadi Aug 19, 2015 2:38 PM Flag

Yeah, again with Libre Office & other lame excuses from Linux "advocates".

People are finally rebelling over software usability. "This is good for you" BS can work only so long. People want Windows. Give them what they want. (Or, the Linux machines will go unused & people will buy their own Windows PCs!)

It *is* a Windows 10 festival out there. Windows 10 is the big news for months to come!!!

  • Ballmer always stressed 'total cost of ownership' for software. Turns out he is right.

"Between 2011 and 2014, the municipality of Pesaro, Italy, trained up its 500 employees to use OpenOffice. However, last year the organization decided to switch back to Microsoft and use its cloud productivity suite Office 365. According to a report from Netics Observatory, the city administration will be able to save up to 80% of the software's total cost of ownership by going back. The savings are largely due to the significant and unexpected deployment costs. In particular, having to repaginate and tweak a number of documents due to a lack of compatibility between the proprietary and the open source systems translated into a considerable waste of time and productivity. The management estimates that every day roughly 300 employees had to spend up to 15 minutes each sorting out such issues."

It's not mentioned in this article, but it was found earlier that the Open Office replacement for excel is over 1500 times slower than excel for some spreadsheets. 1500 times! Just let that sink in for a minute!

OpenOffice is a joke. It is promoted by Linux bums, who themselves do little work in it.

Wottard vanished without a trace as soon as a pointer to Stallman's words is posted. The wottard nym will reappear in a few hours to talk about something else on a different thread. Right now, it's senile boy disposableTard that is operating the person.
