With all the current investor conferences Vringo attended recently why aren't we seeing some buyers jumping onboard? Because there is nothing tangible to be had . There are literally hundreds of thousands of legally owned patents sitting idle at the patent office that generate $0.00 income, Vringo's included. Unknown amounts of time for open litigation cases is not an investment but rather a gamble at the horse races. The odds on Vringo to win the Kentucky Derby are 250 billion to 200 million! If you bought a ticket/ share then hold tight for another 2 years when the race is actually ran! That's straight from the horses mouth! -
was willing to settle with Microsoft for, 1M up front and maybe some small payment if Google looses in 2 years from now? Investors aren't even sure what MSFT was being sued for. Did Vringo ever say it was the 420 and 664 patents that were being infringed upon?
It also shows the strength of Vringos case when the accused is only willing to pay 1M, hand over 6 unknown patents, and agree to pay up to 5% of another's total RR% IF the amount doesn't exceed an unknown dollar amount.
Yes, investors are told to read between the lines and piece together what we, Vringo already know but won't tell you due to secrecy! As you can see it really impacted the share price but not favorably. The minute the word APPEAL shows itself in a Google filing every commentator is going to heap estimates in upwards of 2 years before this ever gets resolved...then what? - Reply to

Not one piece of evidence has changed that up to now. Then Vringo makes a deal behind investors backs which we have no knowledge of it's interpretation. 6 patents to what? -

So 3.5% of 20.9% then divide that by 5% and you have what? Pennies on the dollar and oh!...another 1 to 2 years of appeals through an already overcrowded court system. Even if all 10 defendants pay there 1M fine and pennies on the dollar what does that add up to? 30, 50 million at best, and that's years away. Brilliant!

it's case with Microsoft. There is no way JJ raises the RR5 nor will he even consider lashes at this point. Looking back at the 30M award won by Vringo at the trial now seems more than fair compared to MSFT 1M settlement.
Great job Vringo you just cut your own throat and showed America what the true value of your patents are worth. 1M are you kidding... expect a huge drop in your share value as investors start to see and chew on the news. I see no legitimacy in any VRNG vs MSFT settlement, just MS being allowed to watch for free at a distance until ruling hits.

Investors have been starved for the company to define a more concrete long term picture. We all know about the Google court theatrics but there needs to be more. Vringo needs more activity with regard to ongoing billable services and activities that are recurring month after month. It needs to be clearer to shareholders and build up a story explaining the different services and strategic plan looking out 3 - 5 years down the road.
I was an aircraft assembly mechanic for 30 years. I can build an airplane from the ground up. I have $.0.30 cents in my pocket. What are the chances I'll be successful in building that airplane? 1 in 250 billion!
Sound familiar! They are stuck until settlement funds roll in or more offerings are offered. It just business, period. there is no magic money tree just for Vringo to pick from. If this case goes bad we are all in big trouble! - Reply to

Very good question. I believe it was not, and Google never once admitted to using Vringo's patents and the most important issue was proving they were infringing. That is why after the verdict from the jury spelled out infringement they filed the higher royalty rate motion because they proved their case to a jury. Still your point is valid.

And what they say to give you the impression they were hopeful. Please, C.W. will tell every investor that calls "just read our 10Q and listen to what our forward looking plans are".
He will say no more and no less, but to act as though your getting some indicator through phone conversation with IR that "good news" is around the corner, you are sadly mistaken. This case can go in any direction and Vringo lawyers did their best to draw out all possibilities of what the future holds. However, as we've seen already this judge has no conviction either way and if anything has been overly generous to Google up to now.
