Since ALL (millions) of you are wondering, my most optimistic scenario would be for Ganax to eventually be the drug of choice over benzodiazepines, due to efficacy in treating anxiety/epilepsy but with a better side effect and addiction profile. And it would of course be preferred over Allo because of its lack of steroidal side effects (no effect on progesterone receptor, which is prednisone-like). That right there should be worth about $3 Bil.
And then maybe there is the possible positive cognitive effect, such as in Alzheimer's, where there is a known depletion of neurosteroids. Any positive effect there would add a few dollars to the market cap, don't you think?
Will Ganax decrease the anxiety/hyperactivity/aggression/outbursts WITHOUT impairing concentration/cortical function/cognitive skills???? The benzodiazepines (Valium Etc) impair cognition too much in these kids and therefore are rarely used.
Cortical function is critical. I have little doubt that Ganax will treat the anxiety well.
No worry for a bomb tomorrow. They wouldn't do it before a holiday weekend. Rarely happens. But there's still a tiny chance for a positive pre-market announcement though
A decent day, all things considered. Every other day has been a big rally followed by consolidation. So tomorrow hopefully will be great. I don't know how many people will have the guts to be short this stock going into next Tuesday. I suspect not many.
Everything looks great technically (except maybe the MFI, which is rising).
Hey Stayloose... Regarding ZLCS, I recently read that an Israeli company bought the rights to Z944 and will be starting trials for pain/and or epilespy. So, who knows, it may turn out that ZLCS had a winner after all. Unbelievable if it pans out.
Whatever the results are, I expect that I'll be ticked off..
If negative, I'll be upset about that for obvious reasons.
If positive, I'll be ticked off that they made us retailers sweat it out unnecessarily for 6 months (they've probably known the results since December), causing unknown number of stress related disorders, such as ulcers and mental illness, and similar.
Perhaps. Nobody is sure. Marinus supplies the drug, but the trial is being run by the MIND Institute with government grant money (and in Belgium too). It's out of MRNS' control.
yes, that is the study. Results will be discussed at the FRAXA conference on June 9th. We do not know if we get any announcement of results beforehand.
On the day it closed at $5.01, the high that day was $5.35 or so. Therefore, the next day's bar overlaps . No gap. Look at the bar chart. There has been only one gap this year.
Well, it doesn't pay to worry about the IBB. I think we sing our own tune based on the fundamentals and upcoming catalysts, not to mention the tiny float. I'm starting to think we get another "going bonkers" day soon on high volume that'll put us back well into the $6's.
In this FX trial, positive results= drug efficacy. Why? Because they smartly used CGI-I (Clinical Global Impression) as the primary endpoint. It's based upon clinicians and family observing whether they're better or not. Very broad. The secondary endpoints, however, are much more specific, and perhaps a couple of those may not be fully met. Excellent trial design. For example, a previous trial for FX with a different drug actually showed improved CGI-I, but the trial failed the primary endpoint (agitation, I think).
The low is in. I think everyone will be chasing after FX results.
Yes, regarding brain/cortical function, yes, the next big frontier could be Alz/dementia, particularly those with agitation. Neurosteroid levels are known to be depleted in Alzheimer patients.
Hey daw, I still think that the delay in results is positive. I feel that the researchers would have announced negative results (perhaps through a MRNS p.r.) months ago. Just my opinion.
Well, we held $5. I know this gets frustrating to watch on a daily basis, but every day we get one step closer to being in a better place. And that better place will be having FX results behind us. That alone will be bullish, whether we go up on positive results or down on trial failure.
I'd be satisfied if we close over $5. It seems like we never get 2 strong days in a row in this stock. Still, at least we aren't giving back all of yesterday's gains.
I expect a great day today... late yesterday someone/people really wanted in....we should have continuation today. (News tomorrow?)
