Right now, TGT share's are 4-6 bucks under the discounted cash flow value. That's a moat people. When TGT starts opening Canada stores shortly, the price will go up................
Buy stocks at below fair value and you will make a lot more money over the long term.
Double bottom and now intermediate term bullish.
I would agree the weekly chart show AMZN peaking on lower volume and due to a pullback to the 230-240 range.
'When I went to check out, there was only one person in front of me. Struck me as strange that so many people were in the store but no one was checking out.'
They knocked the CALL strike price down from 24 to 23 for the 1.00 dividend on 11/15, but the stock price wasn't adjusted until the spec div was paid. There are special rules for 1-time dividends.
If you write calls against your holdings, they knock the price of the call down by the spec div amount. So you end up by netting zero when the stock is above the CALL strike price. #$@!%!
Why can't they just do a regular dividend increase. Jeez.
I suspect a down day with good volume will mark the end of the selling. The good side is TGT is buying back shares on a lower cost basis. With Canada accretive and outstanding shares down to 570 million, the stock will do well and the dividend will go up a lot. Just have to wait into 2013 to see it.
Long term TGT is setting up to be a mature super stock like MCD, KO, JNJ.
Looks like 36 million shares were sold by institutions and SCULLY TERRENCE J exercised about 21k in stock options last week. No doubt TGT has been bearish lately. For the most part, a well run company, just affected by the Fiscal Cliff issue. To bad as retailers live for the holidays and shoppers get excited about hitting the malls and big box stores. Shopping is the american tradition.
Looking forward, I expect to see more stock price appreciation when Canada sales start being reported.
Dec 2nd, 400k stock options exercised.and sold. Someone doesn't believe TGT will go up from here or was it the possible tax increase?
Who's going to showup next?
Yes, you get the dividend unless the stock is assigned prior.
It's funny we have an oil glut now where oil shortage started this whole industry. Report looked good except for those one-time expenses. Jeez.
Usually the price drop is very temporary. As far as the special dividend. I would have rather they raised the normal dividend which would attract more long term investors. However, I'll take a buck a share and add another position to my portfolio of long term stocks.
JCP will make money this quarter and this is just the push to short because of the storm. Once holiday sales start making the news, JCP will head back up.
Sentiment: Strong Buy
I'm guessing that NOG might be having problems if their partners aren't putting in producting wells fast enough. Doesn't the production drop dramatically within a year, so they need to partner with drillers that are successful at getting wells in.
Sure glad I sold those BBY calls yesterday. Time to buy them back cheap.
You know, you just can't trust the market, the big guys have all the right tools and trading.
