Whip and Frank have never defended anyone who has looted, or made excuses for looting, no matter the crime that preceded such actions. Your analogy stinks, and you know it. It is likely that the "strong arm shop lifting tells us much about the state of mind of the 18 year old at the time he was shot by the officer. Even if the officer did not know of the earlier crime, the young man did know, and likely reacted accordingly. And if I had to guess, I would say the young man thought he was being arrested and did something stupid. Maybe even attacked a police officer in a similar fashion to how he attacked the store clerk. But to be sure, I don't know all the facts, and we will all need to let the investigation take place with out breaking additional laws. So no looting for any of you.
Is it racial paranoia when a black man is scared of other black men on the streets of his own community? Lets not pretend the "paranoia" is not driven by high levels of crime. Or is it easier to just call everyone a racist that says enough of this excuse making. To be sure, black communities suffer the most from such excuses.
We need to know why the officer fired the first shot, and why he fired so many times. Are they trained to keep firing once the shooting has become necessary? Do we have any officers out there that can answer this question? For on its face, it seems excessive and difficult to defend.
Grey, you miss my point. I don't care about the race of the officer or the one shot. BUT, the race baiters do, and they have turned this incident into a race issue, as though the man was shot because he was black, not because of his choices that day, or the officer's choices that day.
Again, we don't know enough; but why must it be about race?
They have his name, yet no photos or info, other than a 6 year vet, with no disciplinary issues.
Why? Now that they have a name. Could it be his race does not fit the narrative? There where plenty of witnesses who saw the officer? Why have they not identified the race of the officer when they have made much of the race of the "victim"?
I do not know if the police officer acted appropriately, but it looks like excessive force with the limited info we have been given. But we do not know enough at this time to make a full conclusion.
Sounds much more complicated than we have been told over the last several days. Hmmmmmm.
A dear friend in the hospital, and I have not been sleeping much. Too young for a heart attack and four bypasses. Next day, they had to open him again as he was losing too much blood.
Its not a good situation.
And what was your name at that time? As you did dot post then, under this name. And we know you like to speak up.........., MBB.
Now, I will admit there is a 14 in that number, and 14 is certainly "below 15", However, unless 15 is the new 14, that's not "below $15".
And on low volume..., weird.
Varli, Tack, Varli.
Even if it varli not an 8billion per year Golden goose, as suggested. Cut that in half, and tell me what the SP will be with varli and several others on the march to approval. 2 years or less, $150? It could happen.
ICPT has a 6 billion Market Cap and nothing approved yet. I see Varli as a similar value to ICPT's NASH treatment in overall value.
Rule, no one is listening to your short message. We know many are protecting their puts and short position and we know that is coming to an end. Soon. So when it dips, BUY.
The Google finance page says 96% as of this morning. Admittedly, don't know how accurate it is, but seems to update more regularly than many sources.
It just keeps going up. Seems to be the only one that updates regularly.
Are you talking to the same Amgen that was only down less than 2% on that news?
