As a shareholder in several companies I expect management to do all they can to reduce their expenses and increase the returns to shareholders. I don't blame any company for trying to avoid a 35% tax. As an American, I want our government to tax us to provide for the security of our country. I don't want them taxing us to redistribute the wealth of those that have work hard to the people that are mentally and physically able to provide for themselves. I do expect all levels of government to look after the mentally ill. I do not expect the government to provide health insurance for people that had rather spend their money for things other than insurance. I don't expect the government to try an subsidize people that make poor choices or those that refuse to work.

So, I have no problems with corporations that legally avoid taxes. I admit that our tax system needs to be reformed and that could be easily done if we chose to do so. My opinion is that we should drastically reduce the size of Federal government and return needed government control to the states. We don't need federal agencies telling us what to teach in schools, which streets should be paved and when, what health insurance we should buy, what light bulb we should use, or how big our toilets should be.

Let the states decide how much they need to tax corporations within their borders and each state should collect enough taxes to provide funding for whatever our Federal governments need to protect our country.

I don't believe this will happen in my lifetime but it will happen at some point in the future. Americans will rise up at some point and they will regain control of the government. I hope it is done in a peaceful manner via succession.

So ALL the military leaders just sit around waiting to see what was going to happen? It's hard for me to believe that not one person on that night considered scrambling some aid and moving them to a location closer to Benghazi in case they were needed. They all knew that Americans were in danger and that a fire fight was taking place but they all just thought that there was no need to try and help them because they would be dead by the time we got there. If that is true we need bring every American military personnel home today. If we can't protect our people overseas we need to bring them home. I guess the Marines need to stop saying that they will never leave a fellow Marines on the battle field. Those same officers that testified should be asked why not a one of them didn't put planes in the air in hopes of rescuing there fellow soldiers. They could have turned the planes around if they arrived to late to help. The point that they NEVER sent a rescue team tells me loud and clear that SOMEONE told them not to send in rescue personnel. I don't believe you will every convince an ex-military person otherwise.

Based on the many questions and opinions it looks like the drug has some benefits and work for almost three years. In my opinion this means that we need this drug approved now and that studies should continue to determine the most effective dosage should be based on the growth of the children taking the drug. It's my belief that all drugs should be based on a person's weight not on age. It doesn't make sense to me that a 100 pound woman should be dosed with the same amount of a drug that a 300 pound man would get. These kids need help now and should have access to the drug now. Doesn't make any sense to just let them suffer until the FDA is completely satisfied the drug will work the same for everyone that takes it. I would not make that statement for a drug that has safety issues but so far I haven't seen any discussion of safety issues.

I have written my Senators and Congressman asking them to not fund Obama's mistake. He created the problem and he needs to figure out how to pay for it. He has a pen and a phone and he can act without congress so let him have at it.

We no longer need FDA approval to make drugs available for people. All you have to do is to get your State representatives and the Governor of you State to approve drugs you need. Stop waiting years conducting multiple trials to get a drug approved. You think I am crazy? Just look what the States are doing with Marijuana. They have bypassed the FDA all together. The president is allowing this and we now have precedence to skip the FDA

Any chance this stock was driven down today by the Street so their short friends could cover or is this stock really dead meat?

  • razor28461 by razor28461 Jun 20, 2014 9:03 AM Flag

I am not getting the share price on this stock. VVUS and ARNA can't even sell pills to help people lose weight but Zafgen expects people to get shots to lose weight.

I agree. Hope volume and price begin to rise. Good luck everyone.

I for one like the way this news was rolled out. Good news that lawsuit is settled, bad news is more stocks outstanding, good news conference call Monday to give company update and release of Publication. I think it's also good news that the plaintiffs were willing to take stock rather than cash. You would not take stock if you didn't think it had some value. Don't know which way the stock price will go but until Monday night it should stay stable unless news leaks over the weekend. Good news would make for a Great Father's Day.

I believe that three boys were stabbed, three were shot and one hit by a car. I am all for banning all three instruments of death . Why the heck would you just want to stop at banning only one? Everyone new the guy was a nut case just like all the other mass shooters. We closed all the nut houses so what did everyone expect to happen? This is about putting people away until they can be treated and if possible, released. We don't need crazy people roam our streets. Get real.

Can you guys tell me how you have such insight on the SEC investigation on PHOT? Do you work for the SEC or have a spouse that works for the SEC? Is there a sight we can go to to see SEC investigation details. It would be nice to be apply to tap into SEC investigation prior to the release of SEC finding. Sounds like you guys really know what is going on.

SEC shuts them down for 14 days then allows them to go back to trading without saying a word about what they found out in the past 14 days. This doesn't see right. I have lost a considerable amount of money because someone at the SEC thought there might be a problem? Looks like the SEC or the company should at least tell shareholders if the SEC found any problems. I would at least expect that had the SEC found serious problems they would not have allowed CANN to resume trading. Maybe the stock will move up if traders feel the SEC gave the company a clean bill of health. Going to be interesting.

If 10K had any good news we would have seen it this morning in my opinion. Since we have been told it will be out today I believe that any good news would have come out before the market. Bad news is usually held to after the market closes. I am getting very nervous about management of this company. I have held thousands of shares for 5 years. I am not bashing, just expressing frustration.

the thing about private/charter schools is that if you don't like them you can go somewhere else. You can't do that in public school. If the private/charter school doesn't meet the needs and desires of it's customers they will go out of business. Exactly what is wrong with that? What is wrong in my opinion is to tell you son or daughter you have to go to bathrooms where the boys and girls use the same facility. I don't know what the issue was in this case but the parents of the child involve might want to find a cross dressing school to send their kid to. Just think what schools would be like if the school could send the bullies and trouble makers home to their parents rather than having to change the rules to accommodate their bad behavior. I was not afraid of the teachers and administrator, I was afraid of my parents. We desperately need to do away with public schools in my opinion. The parents said they would not send their child back to that school. That's wonderful, it's called freedom of choice. We have not had that since public schools were established. I think there should be gay schools, straight schools, all boys schools, all girls schools, black schools, Hispanic schools, Asian schools, religious schools, etc. Parents needs choices and then we would have companies competing for the children. Where I live the taxpayer spends $12,000 per year to send kids to public schools and about 30% of them never graduate. Children have to sit in classes where other students curse the teachers, play with themselves, walk around the room and harass the kids that want to learn. If the parents in my state had the $12,000 they could send their first graders to college rather that a babysitting class. Wake up people, public schools are bad for children.

  • Sooner or later they will have to present earnings.

  • IF the person that had stem cell implants that spoke at the YorkShire meeting hadn't seen improvement after the surgery than why would he/she even go to the meeting? You only stand up and speak at such a meeting or even get invited to speak unless you have something positive to say. Wouldn't have made any sense for them to stand up and say "I had it done, it didn't work". Think about it.

I have been through this several times. We will know the results tonight because the FDA doesn't miss their due dates. My guess is that it was not approved but I am hoping I am wrong.
