This means that hospitals will have to order full cover supplies in extra small, small, medium, large, extra large, jumbo. We will not really know if LAKE is getting any of these orders or are making huge profits until the fourth quarter UNLESS LAKE gives us foreward guidance when their 3rd quarter results are announced.
I think Medicare/Medicaid should charge patients if the doctor prescribes the test and the patient doesn't complete the test. I know that if I don't have an annual check up Medicare will not pay for my BPAP supplies. Doctors should tell their patients that if you don't mail you stool sample in, you will be billed $502.00. That would ensure that people would use Cologuard.
I am not sure it's a "HOPE". I think shareholders should be demanding it. I don't care if she spends every dollar of the Alibaba gains on Yahoo stock. I personally don't need a dividend check that will increase my tax burden. That's my personal opinion so don't beat me over the head and tell me I am crazy. If you have constructive information, please post it.
Since Yahoo shares are valued at zero dollars there is no reason to buy back stock. What Marissa needs is revenue. Buying another internet company in hopes of bringing in more advertisement dollars doesn't make any sense because Yahoo itself is an advertisement revenue generating business. Why would you want to buy another advertisement business when the one you have is losing money? In my opinion she would be better off to wait until Alibaba pricing settles out and then buy Alibaba shares or some other growing company. It is apparent the Marissa doesn't have a good track record of buying companies that have gone up so she might want to hire a team of experts to pick out her next purchase.
ALL police departments will now be required to have body camera. I believe the insurance companies will demand that the police they insure wear cameras. If the cities/towns want the best insurance rates they will have to put cameras on their people. Wonder who is selling the software for these cameras? Time to do some research.
The LT impact is that young kids with this disease my grow up enjoying a normal life. Kids today that have Freidreich face a extremely hard life. They end up in wheel chairs and die at a very young age. I hope that the FDA will do all they can to get this drug tested and approved as soon as possible. I know three kids that have this disease and I hope they will benefit from this drug.
Yahoo management knew that Alibaba was going to go public and that the value of Yahoo would be going up for the past year. So, why is it taking weeks for Yahoo management to tell us what their plans are for this company going forward? I don't understand this at all. If I were Yahoo CEO I would have come out before the Alibaba IPO or shortly after the IPO to explain to shareholders what our next move would be. That would show leadership and assure the shareholders that management was in control. What I am seeing now is complete lack of leadership on Marissa's part. You should never ever leave your investors hanging. When will she learn that her job is to create wealth for the people that pay her salary? If she can't do it, she should step aside and let someone that understand what investors want out of their investments. She needs to speak up or get out in my opinion. Where is the BOD? If Marissa doesn't speak out before next Friday, she should resign.
If one of the one hundred folks in Texas comes down with ebola this weekend, TKMR and Sarepta will trade over $50 on Monday morning. I would hate to be short either stock over the weekend. Wish I could afford to buy some TKMR.
Now that the 3rd quarter is behind, maybe we will see news. I would image that everyone has their trades made and plenty of capital to buy more Yahoo before it is sold. Good luck.
In his closing remarks he said that America was a Country of Laws and that promoted Freedom of the Press. If he hadn't trampled all over our Constitution and failed to enforce immigration laws I could have believed him. As for Freedom of the Press, it was Obama that said that if he could do away with FOX News he would be free to do more of what he wants to do. He also keeps the press away from him and only releases pictures that his own photographer takes. He will not let the press cover many of his events. I can't say strongly here what I think of him so I will just say that he is a liar and a #$%$. Why should any world leader listen to that idiot?
My thoughts also. Icahn can buy yahoo cheap, break it up and sell off the pieces and keep the cash. This could possibly lead to a bidding war for Yahoo. Could get interesting.
Local news story last night said Wrightville Beach police have been using body cameras and are very happy with the results. They say once they tell people they are being video they calm down immediately. Also said that the number of complaints filed against people has dropped from 11 to 1. They like their cameras. Google it.
The Ray Rice video is getting a lot of attention and it shows that when people see a violent act they no longer have pity for the person committing the violence. If people could see what cops are up against on the street they would not accept riots over how the cops react. It is time for police cameras to show their side of the story. We need to STOP cuddling the crooks. America should be sick of criminals literally getting away with murder.
I was talking to two of my friends yesterday that are in their mid 60's and have never had a colonoscopy. Both of them didn't like the idea of doing the prep so they have refused to get checked. I would be willing to bet that there are a few million other folks that feel the same as my friends and that the market for potential customers is much much higher. I would also bet that when doctors understand the process they will be more willing to recommend the test to patients that maybe couldn't afford it in the past. No use telling a person they need a colonoscopy if you know they can't afford one.
Medicare will require that those eligible use Cologuard for colon cancer screening. They will not pay $2,500 when they can pay $507. That's a biggy. However, I believe that once people understand that they will no longer be required to fast, spend hours drinking awful tasting liquids, taking laxatives and getting up early to go to the hospital for hours, they will love Cologuard. Another very big advantage is that people will no longer be required to miss a day's pay. I would also suggest that employers will encourage people to use Cologuard to help keep their insurance cost as low as possible. This is a BIG DEAL. Shareholders will be well rewarded.
A Health Ministry statement Monday said the ZMapp drug, made by Mapp Biopharmaceutical Inc. of San Diego, was obtained in Geneva this weekend and brought to Madrid to treat Miguel Pajares.
