I think pana rates will be green tomorrow considering you can get 2 pana's now for the price rate of 1 cape...Big Up Move Tomorrow.
Will the higher demand for aluminum instead of steel affect demand for iron ore? Ford and GM are making moves to use aluminum in place of steel beginning with their trucks...this is not an attempt at bashing...it's a relevant question from a concerned Drys shareholder. Thankyou.
Can't you read? I stated 11 Tankers....Suezmax includes Bordisa-Petalidi-Lipari-Vilamoura----Aframax includes Alicante-Marirta-calida-Saga-Daytona-Belmar....yep,thats 11 of them....the tanker rates they are now getting offsets the low rates capes and panas are now getting but are said by most everyone in the Shipping industry they are most likely to improve for the next 18 to 24 months....forward outlook alone should have Drys shares tripling in price for what it is now...ever hear of tesla and how forward outlook-albeit speculation- made its stock soar? LOL. 130,000 + rates for Drys 11 tankers more than offsets Drys other 36 ships...looking forward to an early earning announcement from G.E.
Share price is being propped up? Share price should be moving northward due to the increase in tanker rates in which DRYS has 11 of them getting over 130,000 a day.
What about Iomega? The company that screwed its shareholders when it was bought out for 3 dollars and some change? But even before they did that did a one for five reverse split(eplaining to shareholders that it would attract institutional investment-which it never did) and as the stock took a nose dive right back to three they then sold it--the shareholders got screwed but i am sure the iomega members of the board who was part of the deal was rewarded handsomely. Most times when companies are bought out the shareholders receive a better pricce for their shares...not in that case.
Right...there are exceptions however but i don't believe Drys is one of them....i believe a small profit will definitely make Drys pps run north and the announcement of a dividend will make it soar.I bought drys in 2009 and have been waiting patiently for things to turn.I believe we are almost there. No time to abandon ship now! Good luck.
Since tankers are getting 50 thousand plus in rates and Dryships has 11 of them and 24 Panamax dry bulk ships one could say that the earnings for the 4th qtr should be positive.Panas are getting around 13 thousand in spot rate but tankers are more than making it up for it....take 20 thousand off going rate for each suexmax tanker that Drys has and spread it about on the 24 Panas that Drys has....That would up each Pana to a rate of over 24 grand per pana ship! Orig is doing well also so i will be expecting an early announcement for 4th qtr earnings from G.E.
