  • Of equal importance to the platform technology for antibody production is the urgent need to increase the expression yield of one or more of the antibody components of the ZMapp cocktail, and iBio has exclusive rights to technology proven uniquely effective by Novici Biotech LLC in significantly increasing protein expression yield without altering the structural or functional properties of the protein. This technology is directly and rapidly applicable to increasing the yield of ZMapp antibodies. At the Fraunhofer Center for Molecular Biotechnology in Delaware, (licensed IBIO platform) racks of N. benthamiana plants can be programmed to produce a wide variety of vaccines. The next time an epidemic hits, PMP production could create 2.5 million units of vaccine in just one week Plant-produced vaccines have been developed for cholera, toxic Escherichia coli, hepatitis B, Norwalk virus, and HPV. More are on the way. There is even ongoing research into edible vaccines. This would allow patients to simply consume a food to create immunity. Beyond ZMapp for treating Ebola, other plant-made mAbs are moving toward clinical trials. Mapp Biopharmaceutical continues work on plant-produced mAb therapies for Marburg virus (a cousin of Ebola) and for respiratory syncytial virus. A microbicidal cocktail of mAbs against HIV and herpes is also close to advancing to phase 1 clinical trials.

she twist things around , makes obscure, and post out of context, and deceptive #$%$ . The platform itself has been proven and being installed in GE mini labs and Brazil. Does that sound like a unproven platform? If she is talking (( drug)))) for Ebola every bodies is unproven with only a 7 doses tested. This is how she manipulates phrases and words. President Barack Obama has offered $500 million on behalf of the U.S. to help fight ebola, $58 million of it is going toward research to develop experimental treatments. Goodin hopes that at least some of it is headed to Kentucky, where Kentucky Bioprocessing is growing the special Ebola antibody-infected Nicotiana benthamiana. The original ZMapp was made by ICON, and Kentucky bio or at least they got credit. Kentucky bio is a small place or manufacturer. Its said only ramp to 20 doses a ((( month))))... That is a big problem if you need to make the serum ( original ). Novici Caliber and IBIO can make the original plant based drug is mass quantities. Robert Erwin was the Chairman at ICON, ( she failed to note) . ZMapp is the lead drug and now the problem is how to make it fast, nearly the same, and in quantity. Caliber is the largest manufacturer, Ibio can optimize and has the platform that Caliber uses with its own technologies. Caliber has used IBIO and is familiar with them. Novici has previously applied GRAMMR technology successfully for gene and protein optimization to rapidly increase the expression yields of certain target products without alteration of the structure and function of the proteins themselves. IBIO platform has been used by NOVICI and Caliber. The three barta labs were designed for outbreaks in advance of ebola. Funding and protocols. ..... Texas A&M is the one that's uses Caliber manufacturing. See Perry Texas A&M Task Force. The real world uses FACTS and solves problems. Melissa confuses, twist and arranges them for her sic greedy ends.

If people would only realize the technology has been paid for and the margins are usually great for technologies that are licensed out. They have partnered with agencies and got rights, patents from collaborations. people don't give Robert enough credits he and his crew/board. I can give you a whole list about Melissa were she screwed up..... Yahoo has rejected 4 water down pieces. For my own good I think. I like reading the comments from her hit piece.

Ron Both (investor relations) told me the company has a small burn. (Partnered, collaborated, licensed) . Its the irons in the fire and enormous growth in the last few years that has attracted me. iBio said its longstanding technical partner for iBioLaunch - the Fraunhofer USA Center for Molecular is huge in research. , Caliber , Novici, Kanematsu-Japan, Oswaldo Cruz Foundation-brazil, Fraunhofer is Europe, China building 3 IBIO plants , GE license platform, GE KUBIO MODs can be worldwide in 14 to 18 months . Their own pipeline. Our technology has been validated in multiple vaccine and therapeutic product categories, and iBio is developing a proprietary therapeutic product, IBIO-CFB03, for the treatment of idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF), systemic sclerosis, and other fibrotic diseases in collaboration with Dr. Feghali-Bostwick at the Medical University of South Carolina. The iBioLaunch™ platform retains this improved safety and manufacturing profile demonstrated with subunit vaccines, but unlike competitor technologies, our extremely rapid gene sequence to manufacturing timeline (as little as one month) makes the iBio technology the manufacturing platform of choice when rapid response to pandemic threats is paramount. The iBioLaunch expression platform has been used to manufacture vaccine candidates that represent a broad range of viral, bacterial, and parasitic threats to human health. The technology has been used to successfully produce vaccine components that could not be manufactured using bacterial, yeast, or animal cell expression systems, demonstrating a breadth of application that is unmatched. Each of these vaccines is available to be licensed from iBio along with the iBioLaunch manufacturing platform, providing a turnkey entry into vaccine development and manufacturing. Influenza vaccines — As part of its collaboration with external agencies such as the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation Global Health Initiative and the US Department of Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency, subunit vaccines for avian influenza (H5N1) and pandemic influenza (H1N1) have been created and advanced into human safety and immunogencity clinical studies. These vaccines consist of the viral hemagglutinin (HA) antigen, which is known to produce a protective immune response in humans. Yellow Fever- In partnership with Fiocruz/Bio-Manguinhos of Brazil , iBio and its research collaborator, the Fraunhofer USA Center for Molecular Biotechnology, have undertaken the development of this next-generation yellow fever vaccine. A license agreement for the iBioLaunch manufacturing platform applied to the yellow fever vaccine has been established with Fiocruz/Bio-Manguinhos and, by mutual agreement, may be expanded to include other product applications. Malaria — Malaria is one of the greatest threats to human health in the world. This vaccine candidate, which has shown great promise in laboratory studies of malaria transmission, was developed in a partnership with the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation Global Health initiative. Hookworm- iBioLaunch technology is being used to produce a vaccine antigen to an enzyme found in the gut of the hookworm. Antibodies to this gut enzyme block its action, which is normally to break down hemoglobin in the blood as a source of iron for the hookworm. However, commercially useful amounts of the antigen can be manufactured using the iBioLaunch plant expression technology, and development of a vaccine in partnership with the Sabin Vaccine Research Institute is proceeding towards human safety and efficacy studies. Human papilloma virus - iBioLaunch technology has been used to produce an experimental vaccine to one serotype of HPV (HPV-16) which causes the regression and loss of established HPV tumors in an animal model. Such a vaccine in humans has the potential to treat patients with established HPV-related cancers, for which current therapeutic options involve surgical resection followed by chemotherapy and/or radiation treatment. Bacterial pathogens — The iBioLaunch system has been used to produce vaccines against plague (Yersinia pestis) and anthrax (Bacillus anthracis). The plague vaccine consists of two bacterial antigens (F1 and LcrV) and has been demonstrated in primates to provide complete protection against inhaled plague challenges when administered with an adjuvant.

no mention of you having a brain? 1 plus 1 = two in a non delusional logical kind of way unlike streetsweeping fools and thestreet clones. It also didn't state- collaboration with Caliber largest manufacturer and 10-100 times more serum then Kentucky . 2) NY Times reports- There are also efforts underway to increase the amount of protein produced by each plant. Mapp is said to be working with another small company, Novici Biotech, which has a method of tweaking the genetic instructions for the antibodies in a way that could boost production. IBIO can add and expects to drive production efficiency with NOVICI. IBIO is said to have production optimization and quantity technologies. 3) Connection to ZMAPP and Gates foundation third party collaboration. Gates and IBIO. The Department of Health and Human Services is in advanced discussions to enlist Caliber a Texas company that can produce the drug in millions of tobacco plants, according to federal officials and pharmaceutical industry executives. Working agreements, iBio Inc signed a long-term license and collaboration agreement with CalibeBiotherapeutics. According to this agreement iBioLaunch technology would be utilized for the production of biologic drugs in the manufacturing facility of Caliber.

The short thesis- distortion and sweeping facts under the rug. . Robert was chairman of the stock she praised (ICON) - not mentioned? Roberts Accolades , achievements, accomplishment, companies, chairmanships, leadership roles, Degrees, companies co-founded , work with science, group, colleges. Robert Kay, Ibio"s CEO, said Caliber has the capacity to produce up to 100 kilograms of ZMapp annually, which he estimates can produce enough quantity to supply 20,000 patients.

Previously, ZMapp was produced at Reynolds American, Inc."s (RAI) tobacco plant facility in Owensboro. While Reynolds has focused the facility's full capacity on ZMapp production, ((((( only 20 doses)))))) are estimated to be produced this year. Can she do elementary math? Does she know how to read. Understand common logic. They will need the Caliber plant-elementary.
Under the agreement with Caliber, Ibio will be entitled to receiving royalty fees, as well as milestone payments subject to the production targets given to Caliber. The court has a way to decipher the truth Ms. Davis and her profiting from sensationalism, poor journalism, and fraud.

Its funny how educated greed can totally ruin what was once a fine little girl who did not create dirty tricks, verbal gymnastics, sensationalism . twist, and obscures the truth . It was refreshing reading an real article that was non bias, factual and unemotional.

“ALL hands on Deck”- Bidness- Published: October 24, 2014 at 7:17 am ESTBy:Hannah Ishmael , Microsoft founded heed the call. The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation has pledged $50 million toward the cause. The foundation, supported by the US Department of Defense and UK charity Wellcome Trust, is currently working on exploring alternative methods to produce ZMapp, an Ebola drug developed by Mapp Biopharmaceuticals Inc. ZMapp is probably the most advanced of all experimental Ebola treatments available, and has been administered to seven Ebola patients, five of whom survived. Mr. Allen tweeted yesterday that he will donate “at least $100 million” for controlling Ebola, making it the biggest Ebola personal donation. He also urged others to make contributions to a fund set up at tackleebola .co a website launched by the Allen Foundation for the purpose of collecting donations for fighting the virus. -
However, all supplies of the antibody, which is manufactured in tobacco plants, have already been exhausted, and it takes months to manufacture even small batches of the drug. The Department of Defense is in talks with Caliber Biotherapeutics to manufacture the drug in the company’s tobacco plant facilities . If Caliber is assigned the task, it will probably be using its partner Ibios’ technology which can accelerate the production process. The Gates Foundation was also in talks with Amgen, Inc. , a leading name in the biotechnology space, to look into producing the drug through mammal cells. If successful they may distribute animal celled Zmapp. Amgen has confirmed that is working with the Foundation on alternative ways to produce the drug. Facebook Inc’s founder, Mark Zuckerberg, also pledged $25 million to the cause earlier. The UN Security Council has set up a fund asking nations to contribute to efforts against the disease, with an aim of collecting $1 billion The US government has announced that it will contribute $750 million and send on-ground forces to the affected nations.

According to this agreement iBioLaunch technology would be utilized for the production of biologic drugs in the manufacturing facility of Caliber. The agreement between the two companies wold allow partnership with third parties for the production ofbiotherapeutics and vaccines. Federal officials, along with two of the world’s biggest charities — the Gates Foundation and the Wellcome Trust — are also looking at arranging for production of ZMapp in animal cells, the more conventional method used by the biotechnology industry. Although that would take longer, it would allow for greater output by tapping into the biotechnology industry’s huge production capacity. “We’re going with multiple manufacturers,” a federal official said, speaking on condition of anonymity because contracts have not yet been signed. “Caliber is certainly one we’re considering.” “The biology just doesn’t allow you to do it tomorrow,” said Alan Magill , who heads the malaria program at the Gates Foundation and is trying to arrange for more ZMapp production.
