Funny how all these GOP hopefuls catch up on their taxes when they run for office. Then they can use the audit ad a reason for not paying taxes. Being broke 8 years ago and staying you are worth 8 billion will get you audited. Doesn't he think some one would check. Obama years has been very good to him. Kind of like radical extreme profits and no tax money. He will Never say. Radical extreme profits and no taxes. Middle class pay 35% and Trump nothing's

  • $80 per Barrel a Reality by 2017 End?

The bullishness was fueled by a Florida-based company in the investment brokerage space, Raymond James Financial, Inc. RJF, which asserted that this is the beginning of a strong rally. Per the brokerage firm, West Texas Intermediate (WTI) will average $80 per barrel by the end of 2017. Although the broader market is mixed with some in favor and some apprehending another fall again in the near term. But if we see the price trend over the last few months, we can say that the commodity is definitely walking on the bullish path, bouncing off its multi-years lows.

    Crude Rally: The Triggers

As of now, the commodity is taking a breather thanks to a host of macro issues round the globe including production disruption in Canada due to the Alberta wildfires, militant attacks and the threat of a nationwide strike in Nigeria, the political rout in Venezuela, and reduced shale production in the U.S. Going by market trends, we believe that given the fact that Saudi Aramco, Saudi Arabia’s state-owned oil and gas entity, is preparing for partial privatization and an initial public offering, the focus on oversupply would be intact.

YOU don't even KNOW were Sandridge major drill was... YOU are not in MISSIPPI in the stack... You took a wrong turn along the way.... The execs left and they went to MISSIPPI .... SandRidge still appears to be in recovery mode after those revolts and changes to its management. Executives hope to correct the less-than-stellar financial and operational results of recent quarters with a renewed focus on horizontal drilling in the Midcontinent, limited operations in the Permian Basin and legacy assets in West Texas.

SEE the News on NEWFIELD... Its time for the shorts to cover.... ITS not the flowing barrel... ARE YOU SILLY!!!! cover. ITS the biggest researves around and biggest pool of cheap and plentiful oil.... The STACK play has emerged as a top investment priority for several companies, including Marathon Oil and Devon Energy, in the past year largely because the cost to operate wells in the area is lower than other parts of the United States.

"Our Anadarko Basin production continues to exceed expectations," Newfield Chief Executive Lee Boothby said in a statement on Tuesday.

"Recent drilling and completion efficiencies are leading to 'best in class' wells - both in terms of costs and production performance," Boothby said.

Newfield raised its 2016 production forecast to 56-58 million barrels of oil equivalent (mmboe) from 54.5-56.5 mmboe.

The company said the mid-point of its second-quarter production forecast was 15.2 mmboe, 0.5 mmboe higher than its previous forecast.

Newfield said had drilled survey wells over more than 95 percent of its STACK position to appraise the value of the discovery.

RIGHT Cheap and plentiful oil and they know it. They made the deal will CHK last month. They know what they are doing and raised expectations. MRO is keeping up and has to get the cheap oil also. Newfield knows every inch of the STACK.

Drilling and completions are also Marathon Oil strengths. The majority of ongoing operations incorporate horizontal wells, many with laterals over two-miles in length. The focus of each of these efforts is to deliver fit-for-purpose wellbores at the lowest possible cost over the life of the lease.
Technology efforts for drilling operations are focused upon managed pressure drilling techniques to improve drilling efficiency and reduce safety and environmental risks. Technology efforts for completions are focused upon multistage fracturing tools to reduce intervention and speed operations, as well as improvements in fluid and proppant systems for hydraulic fracturing. WLL (whiting) is bringing wells back in the Bakken... MRO could also as they are close to the break even mark there..
Product optimization- Once placed on production, every well must be closely monitored to make sure it continues to operate at maximum efficiency Optimization is critical to ensuring recovery of developed reserves and maximizing revenues. Minimizing volumes and handling of produced water is also of utmost importance.
One area of technology focus is upon artificial lift systems to prevent liquid loading in long vertical and horizontal well sections. A second focus area is upon technologies to treat produced water for use/reuse as drilling and completion fluids.
Marathon Oil is also working with joint owners of our Canadian mining assets to develop handling and upgrading technologies associated with oil sands resources. We operate a pilot demonstration facility for the joint owners to demonstrate new technologies such as solvent extractions before field testing in the mining operations.

MRO KNOWS WHAT THEY ARE DOING HAS HAS PROPERTY THIN THE STACK. The competitive (because of geography and branding more so than geology) Sooner Trend Anadarko Basin Canadian and Kingfisher Counties, or STACK play has started to get a lot of interest lately, also due to its potential for liquids. iTS SOME OF THE CHEAPEST OIL AROUND. When you talk new drilling heads technology and drilling patterns, platforms and the like they may have a lot better costs. . Across the SCOOP and STACK position, average WTI breakeven come to $45.06 per barrel (bbl) and $49/bbl, with some acreage in the SCOOP Core breaking even below $35/bbl, putting the package in the top quartile of Lower 48 assets. The area has also seen relatively resilient permitting activity throughout the recent market downturn, suggesting that capital will remain employed. Vanguard sold its position in the SCOOP and STACK to Dallas-based Titanium Exploration Partners for $280 million. The basin is getting attention.

They should have bought it sooner... DVN Bought STACK acreages a lot cheaper in December. OIL WAS very cheap then and GAS was nothing. Until the latest run every one though OIL/GAS would be depressed longer. ITS about timing and the field is worth it as one of the biggest deposits in the world. About the same as(Newfield’s deal) The Woodlands, Tex., has agreed to acquire 42,000 net acres in the Anadarko basin STACK play of Oklahoma from a subsidiary of Chesapeake Energy Corp., Oklahoma City, for $470 million. RIGHT now it is the best price they could get and most likely a lucky buy. The company, MRO, holds some 175,000 acres prospective for the Woodford Shale, its primary target, and at least 63% of those acres have a stacked unconventional target sitting above them. “The stacked nature of these plays will provide numerous advantages to future play development and competitiveness,” Hutchings said.

In the Scoop/Springer, Marathon plans to complete its second company-operated well this year and drill another well later in 2016.
