  • o Superconductor Technologies owns 11.6% of Resonant post-IPO.
o Resonant has a partnership with RF component giant Skyworks to develop an RF duplexer it thinks can cost less than half as much as rival solutions. It also plans to develop tunable filter designs on its own.
Throughout 2013 demand for Conductus wire grew every quarter and I’m happy to report this positive momentum continued in the first quarter of 2014. During the first quarter of 2014, we shipped nine orders: six for Stage 1 customers conducting performance evaluation and three for Stage 2 customers testing simulated devices for commercial deployment. We continue to prioritize our shipments based on the near-term size of the opportunity. This quarter we shipped to five new customers and our purchase order commitments continued to grow. Our current commitments and in-house orders are expected to consume all of the wire produced for the next quarter. We expect our new 1km Reactive Co-Evaporation Cyclic Deposition and Reaction (RCE-CDR) machine to be operational shortly and we plan to have commercial quantities of Conductus wire available in the third quarter. We plan to ramp this machine to its full annual capacity of 750km by the end of 2014. Superconducting materials clearly offer solutions to problems that conventional products cannot address, thus creating a large market opportunity. We believe that the demonstrated critical current performance and scalable output of STI's superconducting wire positions us well, and we are excited about our future as a supplier to the electrical device industry," concluded Quiram.
On May 6, 2014 STI was issued US Patent No. 8,716,187 pertaining to optimized compositions of Rare Earth barium copper oxide (ReBCO) thin film superconductors using the RCE-CDR process. This patent further strengthen STI's IP portfolio on the RCE-CDR process for manufacturing of high performing, economical and commercially scalable ReBCO thin films. We , developied more than 100 patents as well as proprietary trade secrets and manufacturing expertise.
** Our development efforts over the last 27 years have yielded an extensive patent portfolio *** Our current commercial products help maximize the performance of wireless telecommunications networks by improving the quality of uplink signals from mobile wireless devices. Cryocoolers. We developed a unique cryocooler that can efficiently and reliably cool HTS circuits to the critical temperature (77 degrees Kelvin), and as a result, our wireless products are maintenance free and reliable enough to be deployed for many years.
Electric Power Utilities. As discussed above, we are adapting our unique HTS materials deposition techniques to deliver energy efficient, cost-effective and high performance Conductus wire technology for next generation power applications. We have identified several large initial target markets for our Conductus wire including energy (wind turbines, cables, fault current limiters) and industrial (motors, generators) applications. We are partnering with HTS industry leaders to accelerate our development and manufacturing processes for our Conductus wire, which we expect to begin commercial production later this year.
Our development efforts (including those described under "Our Strategic Initiatives" below) can take a significant number of years to commercialize, and we must overcome significant technical barriers and deal with other significant risks, some of which are set out in our public filings, including in particular the "Risk Factors" included in Item 1A of this Report.
    Our Wireless Business
Although our current efforts are focused on our strategic initiatives described below, substantially all our current revenue comes from the design, manufacture, and sale of high performance infrastructure products for wireless communication applications. We have three current product lines all of which relate to wireless base stations:
    SuperLink , a highly compact and reliable receiver front-end HTS wireless filter system to eliminate out-of-band interference for wireless base stations, combining filters with a proprietary cryogenic cooler and a cooled low-noise amplifier;
AmpLink , a ground-mounted unit for wireless base stations that includes a high-performance amplifier and up to six dual duplexers; and sst.
SuperPlex, a high-performance multiplexer that provides extremely low insertion loss and excellent cross-band isolation designed to eliminate the need for additional base station antennas and reduce infrastructure co Our Strategic Initiatives
We have created several unique capabilities and a HTS manufacturing system related to our new Conductus wire platform, and cryocoolers that we are seeking to commercially deploy by leveraging our leadership in superconducting technologies, extensive intellectual property, and HTS manufacturing expertise.
    HTS Wire Platform
Our Conductus wire product development is focused on large markets where the advantages of HTS wire are recognized by the industry. Our initial product roadmap targets three important applications: superconducting high power transmission cable, superconducting fault current limiters (SFCL) and superconducting rotating machines such as motors and generators.
    Superconducting High Power Transmission Cable:
Superconducting high power transmission and distribution cable transmit 5 to 10 times the electrical current of traditional copper or aluminum cables with significantly improved efficiency.

We sell most of our current commercial products to a small number of wireless carriers in the United States, including AT&T and Verizon Wireless. Verizon Wireless and AT&T each accounted for more than 10% of our commercial revenues in each of the last three years
    o
We have demonstrated the capability to meet the demand and need of a diverse set of applications included superconducting fault current limiter, superconducting power cables and high filed magnets. Recently, we’ve successfully completed a run that fully illustrated the effectiveness of our proprietary RCE-CDR process. By producing Conductus wire, we supposed the performance is utilizing our pilot production equipment. The particular production round of Conductus wire little bit of minimum current across the entire depositions on it but at least 500 amps per centimeter width at 77 degrees Kelvin. HTS Wire Platform

Why now? Near-term catalysts The Company's products include HySTAT hydrogen generation equipment in its OnSite Generation business and HyPM fuel cell products in its Power Systems business. Hydrogenics derives its revenues from two business segments: OnSite Generation, and Power Systems. An alternative to Russia OIL/GAS. Power Systems segment has shown massive growth over the last three years and the difference in revenues for both segments has declined, giving the company a better balance.
    • Focus on the alternative energy sources has allowed the fuel cell sector to grow substantially and Europe is likely to be one of the biggest growth drivers in future, Now Canada has stepped up to the plate. HYGS has been selected as a Preferred Respondent by the Independent Electricity System Operator (IESO) for Ontario in its procurement for Grid Energy Storage. This Power-to-Gas project will deliver 2MW of storage capacity and be located in the Greater Toronto Area..
    • Power Systems segment will likely continue its impressive growth as the market is expected to reach $2-3 billion over the next few years. The Power Systems segment has recorded average annual revenue growth of over 115% over the last three years. Storage facilities on the grid are a real game changer," said Bruce Campbell, President and CEO of the IESO in a press release. "Our electricity system was built on the concept that you can't store large amounts of electricity -- we produce electricity at the same time that we consume it. Energy storage projects

This could do very well. It making the right contracts. • ARTX- Arotech operates two major business divisions: Training and Simulation and Battery and Power Systems. FAAC Incorporated, located in Ann Arbor, Michigan provides simulators, systems engineering and software to the U.S. military and other customers. ***The Electric Fuel Battery Corporation located in Auburn, Alabama and Epsilor-EFL, located in Beit Shemesh, Israel provide lithium and zinc-air battery and power systems. ***** Arotech signed a $3 million agreement to supply the Saudi Arabian defense forces with its MILO range simulators, as well as $700,000 deal to develop special battery chargers for drones. The army has been reordering the SWIPES product, and test units have been sent to the Israeli army, which we expect will place an order later this year.
    • The skyrocketing demand for UAVs, drones and other unmanned vehicles should in turn create a high demand for high-powered lithium batteries.
    • Arotech is developing an iron-flow battery to provide storage for grid power. The growth of solar and other renewable-energy sources is driving the demand for more efficient grid-power solutions.
    • The simulation, training and consulting division has grown rapidly over the past three years. Arotech also has three exciting new contracts, worth a total of $120-155 million. One program wrapping up as the BOSS starts.
    • ARTX announced record revenues for 2013, and current guidance point to another record year in 2014. THE US ARMY, General Dynamics, Raytheon, BOEING all customers.
FUNDEMENTALS are looking good- Arotech Corp. (ARTX) is cheap, profitable and growing, with strong guidance for 2014 and 2015. We reported a net income of $1 million almost 4x the level we reported in the first quarter of last year. Our adjusted EBITDA was $2.4 million, a 52% year-over-year growth, and our quarterly net income more than doubled from $404,000 to $1 million. We also continued on margin improvement with gross margin increasing to 34%. **** The battery and power-systems division is the smaller of the company's two segments but offers huge growth opportunities with accelerated revenue growth. Soldier Worn Integrated Power Equipment Systems is one of Arotech's exciting new products and has a huge potential for growth. The SWIPES system provides a power supply to soldiers, eliminating the need to carry spare batteries for radios, GPS, flashlights, mine-detection systems and other battery-operated tools. The benefits of SWIPES:
    1. Soldiers do not have to carry spare batteries for each electronic device because the SWIPES system powers them all.
    2. The system weighs less than two pounds, a 30-percent reduction in the battery weight a soldier must carry.
    3. Trickle charge is provided to the soldier's radio, keeping it fully charged even if it needs to be removed from the system.
    4. The need to carry multiple backup batteries, which can be lost in the heat of combat, is eliminated.
(((((drones)))) Arotech develops the rechargeable lithium-ion batteries used in UAVs (otherwise known as drones), rockets, launchers, satellites and unmanned submarines. The speed, range and effectiveness of those devices are increased because these lithium-ion batteries are 50-percent lighter than standard lead-based batteries, and many of the industries which produce those devices are in a large-growth phase. (((subs))))) Unmanned submarines also are growing at an astounding rate. These machines are used in military reconnaissance missions as well as in the commercial industry. The U.S. military, in conjunction with Lockheed Martin (LMT), is spending $1 billion to develop submarines which can inspect oil rigs.

    - 8-15-2014- Management highlighted a back end loaded year as Wal-Mart Stores ramps up their deployments at several sites coupled with deployments at Kroger and other key customers. In addition, while year to date bookings stand at $87 million, management reiterated their aim of $150 million for the year and noted that one deal could be as high as $30 million The company shipped 687 units during the second quarter of 2014 compared to 246 units in the second quarter of 2013. Plug Power Inc. Plug has customers including Walmart, Procter & Gamble , and Central Grocers. GenDrive, an alternative energy supply, is a substitute for lead-acid batteries for uses such as in forklifts for Walmart and was a key reason for the growth.

    Margins and Company Commentary

The company reported a gross margin of 17% on its GenDrive product for the second quarter. They Expect product gross margin to reach mid-20 pct in Q4 Plug Power also successfully deployed another product, GenKey, at the Walmart distribution center in Pottsville, PA and as a result, Walmart added an additional site in Sterling, IL to the original six-site contract.
The North American fuel-cell maker to turn a net profit as it recorded a gain on stock warrants.
The company, which deployed its first hydrogen fuel cell unit at a Wal-Mart site in the second quarter, reported a 17 percent gross margin in its product business. The Latham, New York-based company shipped 687 fuel-cell units in the quarter ended June 30, higher than the 650 it had forecast earlier. Plug Power's second-quarter revenue rose 131 percent to $17.32 million. Analysts on average had expected $16.7 million, according to Thomson Reuters I/B/E/S.
Net income was $3.8 million, or 2 cents per share, in the second quarter, compared with a net loss of $9.3 million, or 14 cents per share, a year earlier.
Automakers have been among the fastest adopters, with Volkswagen ( ), BMW, Mercedes-Benz and Honda Motor buying Plug Power systems for use in their factories.

Plug Power said it expects, “a plethora of global opportunities” from the auto-manufacturing market such as Daimler AG and BMW AG to use fuel cells to power forklifts and other material handling devices in their warehouses. The company said it had new orders from car makers such as Volkswagen and BMW, Honda Motors, a new customer and range extenders to FedEx Inc. electric trucks.. This could be a ROCKET, HYGS went straight up from 5 to 30 in two years… 2013 and 2014 are turn around years. They will merge from a “Developmental” company, To morph into a HYDRO conglomerate. Fuel cells are going to be an important energy source for a number of applications and the long-term future is certainly bright - with a bonus of being around 50 percent off of its 52-week high of $11.72 a share. ** Plug Power, with about 150 patents in fuel cells, is expecting growth and intellectual value. GE is now entering the field and other will look to PLUG and other to catch up. Other will follow and look to those who have the expertise and Partner or buy ** We expect management to highlight continued sequential growth through the year. Of note, we were pleased to see the company turn gross margin positive during the quarter and we anticipate continued leverage in the model and further cost reductions to be highlighted by management. ***Huge corporations like Walmart, Bridgestone , Mercedes have tested Hydro batteries and its just a matter of time before Hydro stations are built. Countries like Japan are noe offering HUGE incentives to good with fuel cells. Others will follow, Japan's 25-year plan will cause the country to import fuel cells, which will create an opportunity for fuel cell manufacturers.

  • PLPL -1) ) has positioned itself at the head of the class in the MJane industry. "Cannabis is one of the fastest-growing industries," said Steve Berg, a former managing director of Wells Fargo Bank and editor of the report, the second edition of the State of Legal Marijuana Markets. "Domestically, we weren't able to find any market that is growing as quickly." Former Microsoft manager Jamen Shively is hoping to build an exclusive marijuana retail chain.
“We are going to develop premier marijuana retail stores,” Shively said.
If federal officials cooperate, or at least look the other way, Shively said he wants to open 12 retail stores in Washington and another 12 in Colorado, the other state where voters legalized recreational use of marijuana in the Nov. 6, 2012, general election. CNN to FOX Business to ABC News. Dope Magazine even suggested Shively might be the "Bill Gates of Cannabis." Plandaí has its principle holdings which consist of land, farms and infrastructure, and total more than 8500 acres, in the province of Mpumalanga, South Africa. 2) DOORS opening with new grow methods , science—extraction- absorption, concentrated cannabis oil in the treatment of cancer and other illnesses, licensing agreement with Diego Pellicer, Inc. that will allow the company to use the Diego Pellicer name for its Phytofare™ cannabis extract in medical and pharmaceutical marijuana applications. Plandaí will produce the new Diego Pellicer Gold extracts in both capsules and cannabis oil (for vapor use) in Pheroid and non-Pheroid versions to appeal to the broadest range of medicinal consumers. 3) They are developing two extracts, including Phytofare Catechin Complex derived from green tea harvested in the Senteeko Tea Estate in Mpumalanga, South Africa; and Phytofare Limonoid Glycoside Complex extracted from lemons, which are sourced from plantations in South Africa. First and foremost, the results delivered in this human trial using Plandaí's Phytofare™ Catechin Complex show "proof of concept," and for investors, that proof should turn out to be no small thing when it comes to the future success of this company. (Validity). 4) TRIALS - a producer of highly bioavailable plant extracts for industries including health, wellness, nutraceutical, and pharmaceutical, today announced that it has received approval from the Ethics Committee at North West University in Potchefstroom, South Africa to commence a human clinical trial to test the oral bioavailability of its Phytofare™ Catechin Complex. A) The Company anticipates that the trial will demonstrate that Phytofare™ and Phytofare™ entrapped in Pheroid® have materially significant superior bioavailability, (deliver a clinical level of plant nutrients as relatively low dosages). B) this will unlock the health potential of not only green tea but also other phytonutrients which suffer from low natural bioavailability. C) Starting on the 14th of April, the (first leg ),where the bioavailability of the comparator will be determined, is scheduled for the 11th of May. Final results from all three legs of the trial should be available in July 2014. North West University, located in Potchefstroom, South Africa, is considered one of the finest research facilities on the continent. D) "While we have exhaustively tested our Phytofare™ in several applications, including the recently concluded topical anti-aging study, the final piece for us is human bioavailability. Many phytonutrients exhibit tremendous potential in the lab for treating a host of medical and health conditions, but low oral absorption renders them ineffective when taken from the lab and into real world applications. E) Later in 2014, and pending the results of a human clinical trial for treating cold and flu symptoms, the Company will begin producing Phytofare™ Limonoid Glycoside Complex, which contains citrus bioflavonoids. F) Company ADVANTAGE- nature has provided us with most of what we need to combat everything from obesity to cancer to Alzheimer's -- we just need to improve our bodies' ability to process these nutrients. Phytofare will hopefully achieve that very thing." This is why PLPL could lead the MJ industry the bill Gates of abortion and doing more with less. G) Catechin Complex, which includes the entire catechin profile derived from live green tea that is grown and processed on the Company's 8,000 acre Senteeko estate in South Africa. Company products will be including one day in four different formulations after the clinical trials have been completed. Those formulations include; Phytofare™ Catechin Complex, a water-soluble powder, Ph2™ Topical Catechin Complex, a topical cream that has Phytofare™ nano-entrapped in Pheroid™, Ph2™ Oral Catechin Complex, a gel tab version of Phytofare™ nano-entrapped in Pheroid™, suitable for oral consumption, and Ph2™ Liquid Catechin Complex, an oral version of Phytofare™ nano-entrapped in Pheroid™ in a liquid suspension, suitable for mixing into beverages and liquid medications. 5) Targeted industries for the Company's products include food and beverage, cosmeceutical, wellness, nutraceutical, anti-aging, and pharmaceutical. These results could lead Plandaí's distribution partners to use Phytofare, Catechin Complex in wide range of cosmetic products from moisturizers to shampoos to hand and face creams among many others. The more products these distributors can put Phytofare, Catechin Complex into, the more products Plandaí can deliver to partners. 6) Pheroid, technology into simple non scientific terms. It takes our Phytofare® extracts and encapsulates them in a nano transporter. This allows our already bioavailable extracts to better reach their target area. Super digestion. 7) Do more with less- OUR technology is important because most extracts are limited and never reach their desired target -absorption is everything to medicines April with a brand new state of the art production facility that is due to be fully operational sometime this month. Plandaí recently finished the all-important Stage 2 on the Senteeko Tea Estate in South Africa. It's this section of the factory that CEO Roger Duffield says "the magic of Phytofare" takes place. .8) Led by former Piper Jaffrey analyst and mutual fund manager Rob Goldman, Goldman Small Cap Research he is on top of the industry seeing it growing ,creating and revolutionizing the old mindset and field. First, we're reviewing the various strains of cannabis and selecting one that we feel will have the best chemical profile for what we want to accomplish with the extract.
We're also working in Washington to ensure that we have live plant matter available for testing later in the year. Finally, we are engineering a CRS hydrodynamic processing and extraction system and constructing a laboratory in Washington that will make the initial extract for testing."
    9) GAME CHANGER in the fastest growing industries First step Plandaí's unique extraction process that uses live plant material grown on the tea estate and a combination of temperature and a unique wave of acoustic energy to release the living phytonutrients, rearranging the polyenes into a bio-compatible form.
Plandaí's CEO said of this process, "The magic of Phytofare involves unzipping the molecule to release the valuable phytonutrients, which we have now done for the first time on an industrial scale."

Foreign automakers who want to produce cars to sell in China must do so through a joint venture with a Chinese automaker anyway. That rule was introduced to allow the Chinese companies to access advanced technology. Your notes and head are full of wholes. ON their OWN (partnership) !!!!!!!!!! maybe, fleet cars !!!!!!! , absolutely BS report, as they have acquired another company and partnered. It did not say that they will not produce or actively work on EVs. They may not make a profit the first couple years as it is capital intensive and new technologies take years to be profitable. So actually you take a nothing report or statement and try to hurt a couple of companies with it. Cowardly!

The sector is up 100% and about to double again in 2014 by year end----- NOT AN INVESTMEN?????????? Do you believe your own #$%$? Ever hear of the Toyota's fuel cell car that will go on sale before April next year. Despite advantages that are seemingly compelling, the technology has struggled to move beyond its prototypes after several decades of research and development by industry and backing from governments. It will go main stream one day.

But Satoshi Ogiso, the engineer leading the Toyota project, is confident there's a market that will grow in significance over time. Its a matter of timing for investors. To say the sector makes money is a little ridicules and naïve. . They are making great strides and will in time.

Somebody needs to go back to school and figure out what is making this run. IN MARCH it shot up past 4 dollars where most people bought according to the charts and volume. This is a long ways from being over bought with or with out the RSI. The last four days have been up and a good trend has started. The analyst are up grading PLUG and FCEL. If I was on the side and left behind I would come up with some thing better then the RSI excuse for being an idiot. FCEL, HYDROGIN , and alternative energy to the moon.

The Power Systems segment has recorded average annual revenue growth of over 115% over the last three years. With Korea and now Canada the future is brighter. Storage facilities -------------on the grid are a real game changer," said Bruce Campbell, President and CEO of the IESO in a press release. "Our electricity system was built on the concept that you can't store large amounts of electricity -- we produce electricity at the same time that we consume it. This is the solution that can turn the corner for this company and give us a huge lift. THE Midwest and south west with solar and wind can store (((and))) sent electricity to the grid. HELLO WARRAN BUFFET (Midwest Energy) ARE you in the GAME? Energy storage projects will provide more flexibility and offer more options to manage the system efficiently."
