MITL perfomance has be bad this past month. Could drop be due to 1)MITL - MVNR arbitrage; 2) MVNR shareholder receiving MITL shares dumping?
What are some positives?
1. Dollar weakening or Canadian dollar strenghthening.
2. Telecom sector receiving some M&A.
Seems good value play.
Seems other airlines like ALK, UAL are beating EPS estimates. Fuel cost drop outweights dollar increase.
What about HA? The market has been marking down airlines today.
Sentiment: Strong Buy
RESI announce "special" dividend of 0.08. Is this in addition to regular 0.55 quarterly dividend?
Market hasn't shown its appreciation. Maybe because the entire market is off today.
Seems like the board showed Udo the door. Hence the transition to Jeff Roberts.
I think the move is a positive. EAC pushed expenses into 2014, so the first new year with Roberts with show good y/y comparison.
I recommend all MITL investors to go to website and examine MVNR presentation.
Merger will cataput MITL into multi-billion company with expanded PE.
Check the EPS estimates for MVNR. You can see it will explode in 2015.
Good move MITL.
These people may be Jewish or 1/2 or 1/4 but they are not Israeli citizens or dual-citizens. Focus on your trading and you might one day make some money. Focus on hate and you will decimate yourself and others.
Perhaps the best news from PGN Q4 report is that dividend is maintained!!!!
This unmentioned news signifies a great sign of confidence. Every other driller has dropped dividends.
On Feb 18, B/A Merril Lynch downgrade HA to underperform. I have not seen the details. Action probably caused average 2015 EPS estimates to decline.
I think HA wil eventually catch up to the other airlines. Could be that dollar strength is outweighing decline in oil.
What I saw about guidance:
That is, distributable guidance indicates 2015 distributable will be lower that 2014. However, consensus EPS estimates "were" showing an increase for 2015. Based on Q4, this EPS est will be lowered.
Bottom Line: negative news despite morning uptick.
There is no delisting problem.
Member of the board, Hanker, resigned. He is not operational.
Replacement should be no problem. Any volunteers?
A concern is the layoffs. Was it due to discovered efficiencies? Was it due to reduced workload - i.e. less revenues.
EAC took a dive today after a surge the previous day.
They announced a restructuring effort with plannned layoffs of 150.
Perhaps these actions will cause short term expenses that will hit EPS?
Why did restructuring take so long after Evergreen acquisition.
