A major reason why people have been cutting the cord is because they have been frustrated with cable. THAT won't go away until cable companies get their acts together in response to core cutting. IF they do correct their shortcomings, THEN maybe people will return. For me (and probably many others), money is NOT the issue.
Cutting the cord isn't always because of money. Many (any age) see TV/cable/satellite as old technology and are looking for the best access that suites their preferences.
I'm certainly not going back just because I'm getting older.
What works in the comics just doesn't seem to work in the films. The comics are able to draw out and branch the adventures more effectively When they try and cram so many elements into a 90 minute movie with all the additional infill that movies require, it just gets too muddled.
Personally, I find the individual Marvel character films a LOT more appealing than the Avenger character mash-ups. The overall inconsistent value of their various skills/talents/abilities results in questionable value as overall effective team members.
While there may be some manner of success in portraying them in comic books, on the big screen it just doesn't come across at all. Of course, that's my take on it. Those brought up on the Marvel comics may well accept the premise without challenge.
I doubt that those who cut the cord will return, just because they get older. Unless maintaining the cut cord becomes a hassle and cable somehow provides a better deal, people will usually remain with what they have become used to. If cable/satellite wants them back, they will have to make some major improvements, in technology, quality, pricing and content.
I'm pretty cure that they didn't wait over an hour because the hamburger was $10. More likely there were limited food options and people had to wait in line to get anything. While people were in line for over an hour, i would also imagine that the $10 hamburger wasn't the only menu option available.
Staggs was a personal target of board member. Iger blindsided. Disney is not very stable at the moment.
