I hope this is the week too.. but of you have waited a decade, then a few more weeks may not hurt. I read once that Al Mann himself said he's patient and the science will overcome the games being played. I sure hope he is right, because although Al can afford a billion, I certainly can't!!
It is sad that long time investors have been hurt so much for so long. Good luck, and may our chickens come home to roost !!!
Personally I'm curious about the upcoming one year anniversay of Adcom approval.
No one thought Adcom would approve Afrezza at that time becuase it was the third time around, short shares were plentiful. Now a year later, with approval, with a partner and exciting results, I really wonder if a market maker is about to close their position????
EXACTLY one year ago..
things that make you go hmmmm.. thoughts anyone?
have a fun day today and enjoy the ride up.
I really really think they are meant to be marketed together as a PORTFOLIO of diabetes care.
personally i am happy to finally start taking money from the SHORTY!
Jason, please take a kaRp!
Adam, don't mess with the Al Mann!!
you may be right the two phases may indeed be inside and outside US; however-- Pierre Chancel said .. “Afrezza is a further addition to our growing portfolio of integrated diabetes solutions. It is uniquely positioned to provide patients with another insulin therapy option to manage their diabetes but does not require multiple daily injections.”
FROM the Chairman- enDOTsanofiDOTcom/events/2014_Results/docs/20150205_Results-2014_Transcript_EN.pdf
The launch of Afrezza® by our Diabetes division will occur in two phases and in 2015 we are focused on the U.S. roll-out. As I already mentioned, our Diabetes team is also preparing for the
launch of Toujeo®.
Now for me, there's a distinct possibility that they will be marketed together. I ask -WHY NOT?
My sense will be that this fake rumor will be about "someone developing/diagnosed with lung cancer"
I think you are right and it will be a SERIOUS SCARE. These people don't play around.
When Sanofi signed the agreement with Mannkind back in August, their head of diabetes in the US (NOT the CEO) was present with Al Mann and company. He unequivocally stated that Afrezza would be part of Sanofi's diabetes portfolio. Then earlier this year, we found out that Sanofi will do TWO, 2, DOS, DEUX, ZWEI, DUE..... LAUNCHES for Afrezza.
the first one was on Feb 3, 2015. The second one will be with TOUJEO!
They have to sell their DIABETES PORTFOLIO- long acting and mealtime together!
yes this is a PR game. Watch and learn -- Otherwise I ask you one simple question:
Why would Mannkind part with 65% of their profit?
here's the deal though.. Until Mannkind puts a positive spin on their product and accomplishments, they can talk till they are blue in the face. For crying out loud, Matt Peffer may be an excellent CFO, he is STILL a HORRIBLE Public Relations guy.
Until Mannkind hires a SPIN doctor, no matter how many doctors want to prescribe, they shadow of Exubera and lung cancer will continue!!
I've been holding on to my shares and will continue to, but I am quite honestly disgusted by the lack of signs coming from the company. I know they are trying to be forthright, but for them not to defend their product is
Why? Simple -One year anniversary of the Adcom surprise!
Don't bother. Matt is a PUTZ.
I'd call Hakan. He seems to have more succinct answers.
don't get me wrong.. but Sanofi STILL needs to market. why would Mannkind give them sixty five percent if they are not going to market? that's what they were HIRED to do!
