Jazz would make a nice situation.
Can you imagine what would happen to the price of it if such a combination happens?
Having a new face tell the story of our drug along with what they have would be an exciting stock to own, imo.
For sure it would wipe out the Citron shorts along with their friends if it happens..
For those that care those 3 million shares were shorted between $50-55.50 give or take a little.
I wouldn't think those folks that got sucked in here are very happy right now even on a day like today.
What was the date of the presentation where Don mentioned all those options including the possibility of an lbo?
I think it was after the end of the last reporting period like Jan 16 or 17th.
I bet that the next short interest numbers show nice improvement.
Looks like some of it came from the shorts...
Listed as substitute payment QCOR $270.00
The rest is listed as Qualified Dividend QCOR. $$$$
I think he said that more vials are attached to each script for these latest uses.
If I'm correct it means more money per script written.
Question on how this works.
If a short shorts 1000 shares in the morning and than turns around and covers later in the day does both trades get counted in the shorting percentage?
I think their option totals mean that they actually have more ownership by a lot that what shows here.
Does anyone else think this?
It won't surprise me that every share shorted below $50 turns out to be in trouble by end of day.
Reason being is that the initial shock is wearing off and buyers are arriving.
Not sure this stock will have a y/e affect or for that matter benefit from the Jan affect.
Imo, the affect that were having here is the short manipulated affect. This is one where they pound the stock nearly every day trying to start a panic sell off so that they can recover their early year losses. Remember a lot of this stock got shorted last year at numbers in the $30's and $40's and had these guys really down on this position.
The question for me is when does borrowing more shares become hard for them to do. A second question would be when do the institutions that loan stock get it that loaning these guys shares is only coming back to hurt them and get it that they should stop the process.
I'm afraid we have shorting every day.
What's catching my eye is the level is apparently dropping and might mean that they are having trouble getting more people involved or can't find the shares so easy.
When you think how this worked out the last time can you really blame others for being cautious?
One more comment. The major drug companies are desperate for product with everything coming off patent and all are loaded with cash and I do mean loaded. Don't you think for a second that they would want a product like this where they have the best of all worlds? there will be interest if the company choses this path, imo.
