Real estate bust of 2007-2008 dropped by 80%. Off it's bottom by 20%, steady climb now for a while but still low volume. Eventually will get more attention then expect it to really take off!
I own VIG through ameritrade. There are about 100 ETF that are commission free (VIG is one of them) if held for >30 days. You have to go to the ETF page and sign up for the program, if sold <30 days its like a $29 transaction fee. Good luck.
i am up >200% since buying last fall and feel
the best position is long. unless you have the
crystal ball i don't see how you could have possibly
predicted the minor drop we have experienced. I think the
so called shorts are just upset about all the money
the longs are making or maybe they are long wanna
bees who are hoping to buy in at a slightly lower
In summary screw the shorts they are only making
JDSU EXDS VRTS QCOM all up > 400 % this year and it lessens the chance of getting tanked on any one stock. would anyone really be disappointed with only 400 % return?
jdsu = 0 today
vrts up > 10 today
exds up > 15 today
check them out for the past month when I last suggested diversity with these then make your own decision good luck all!
why the heck don't you tell us what is going to
happen instead of what has already happened!
already off it's low and heading higher LONG lives Q and
if you hold it for the LONG run you will retire
rich!!!!! Just for diversity you should also own VRTS,EXDS
and JDSU all of which are moving up rapidly!!!!!
have bought at 76 in afterhours trading on island
and it is now 82 7/8. if dell is short on earnings i
will short. If dell beats the numbers should i buy in
more. so far i have lost on holding my dell this year
HELP HELP i usually screw up someone stop me it this
i have owned dell all year 1000 shares and have
watched my janus funds increase by >50% while dell has
lost me money i thought i was patient but my patients
has worn thin especially with gateway up sharply. Do
I wait longer(if so how long) or bail out now? Ido
not see dell in any of my mutual fund porfolios which
are doing well.
i accidently bought 200 more shares at 173 than i
intended. Dumb me, i turned around and sold the 200 extra
shares and missed out on $4000 gain this week. On well I
guess it's good that i learned to remain long on QCOM.
predict closure today between 152.5 and 154.75. lots of orders already exist to keep this range today
Now you must diversify for your own safety. Despite QCOM's golden touch for the past few months you should not have a one stock portfolio. What are your best pix from now till december?
i guess all else is going down so others can buy
Nasdaq down 3 % and qcom is going up.
Qcom looks bullet proof.
You will make money in a
buy and hold. Shorting Qcom would be like playing
russian roulette with a full gun.
excellent response! I am an investor however like
every one else I can be greedy and want the best
returns. I have several mutual funds(Janus groups mostly)
and stocks with MSFT Dell PFE MRK WCOM KO (since 1975
done extremely well but sucks lately)GE AOL and MDT.
QCOM accounts for only about 0.5 % of my portfolio and
was added more with trader intentions. I guess I will
stay in it for the long term and either sail into
retirement or go down on a sinking ship -- either way I
quess I will always have to keep a reasonable balance.
