Just look at HTC, a Taiwanese company. Once HTC was traded at 1300 TWD not long ago, and now at around 75 TWD. Competition is very fierce in this field. Investors should be careful for what QIHU is getting into.
I had a visit to Taiwan 2 years ago, and was impressed by how many services can be provided by a 7-11 convenient store to local customers. Other than doing regular shopping, you can also receive online orders, buy concert tickets, pay tax, donate to charities, etc. at the store. That's why I think the idea of expanding gas stations to be convenient stores is very powerful in this population intensive country.
