You were right, Ackman took a stake. Great news for longs. MDLZ is in play.
The meltdown was in the AH (after hours down over 5%) . Tomorrow except a rough open then will level off to even for the day. Still going to have $16 eps for 2015. That gives a floor to the stock.
This stock has been under steady accumulation since it started trading on July 6th, And its not retail buying, mostly institutions following Buffett and the 3% div yield. Where else can you get a 3% yield on a soon to be turn around story as 3G revamps the KRFT portion.
Have you seen this kind of volume before? I cut back my share count to 1/3 in the past few years due to the share price volatility. You still have a load of it?
Base price for what purposes?? The open for KHC was 71.00 you can use that as your price floor. The close for KRFT was 88.19 on July 2nd.
Monday will be the first trading day for KHC. Open north of $90?? It will be trading ex-div ( without the $16.50 special dividend) so I can't see it opening near $90. Right around $72 a share seems reasonable, plus shareholders of KHC will receive a .55 div on July 31. It's raining dividends. At a share price of $72 that is an annual 3.05% div yield for a firm that will be becoming trimmer, institutions will be accumulating.
Mr Market disagrees with you Sir. Buy some BP and spend the divs on your gasoline purchases. Just a thought.
KRFT was up 3.6% today on less than average volume upon this am announcement of the merger approval. The stock was firm in the last hour of trading, institutions like this merger. So once the dividend pays out we are looking at a $72 share price. Not bad.
Exactly an oil royalty interest. So when the trust terminates and it will in the future. And if there is oil remaining in the reservoir(s), which one would expect, the unit holders will be entitled to a portion of that value. It may not be much depending on the circumstance of the trust termination, but to assume its value will be zero is not accurate. If the producers are able to export the Natgas then the cost to extract the oil will go up and make the Trust less valuable. (They inject the natgas to increase the pressure on the oil reservoir and make it come to the surface quicker)
Yes, if the merger goes through then KRFT shareholders will receive the $16.50 dividend and the share price will drop nearly that amount. That is confirmed. If institutions see the new Krft/Hnz firm as a buy the share price may not drop to the full $16.50 amount. It will be interesting to see what happens. Do I reinvest the div or wait for any dip?? I haven't a clue but my reading points to higher prices for the new entity in the future.
Listened to RF's presentation on Tuesday. Fairly bullish comments. Management feels their share price is undervalued. Would use cash or some debt to finance any acquisition vs. utilizing any stock. And they continue to buy back shares. Future looks good.
Most of what I have read is positive on the deal. No question, having stock in the new firm is a huge plus. They will trim the fat and expand overseas sales. Makes you wonder why KRFT was split up in the first place. So the executives could get golden parachutes and the like? Wouldn't it be funny if 2-3 years from now they attempt to merge/buy out Mondelez? lol...... could happen, you know that there is excess fat at Mondelez.
HBAN is getting close to a new 52 week high, All Aboard!! Big banks and the regionals are under valued, dividends are increasing, share buy backs continue, loan losses are at lows. And we are beginning to see some loan growth, look out.
Yahoo has a glitch in their system. You can get to the mbs for KRFT and MDLZ by accessing through this mb. Type in the symbol in the center "Get message board for" box and not the top left box.
