A split really does nothing, but if you think that one is coming, Just buy some shares now, at the current price and get ready for it. In other words, for instance, buy 50 shares now. Then you will have 100 shares if a 2 for 1 split happens or 75 if a 3 for 2 occurs. Etc. Etc. (if I did my math correctly). And/but.., bear in mind that you may end up with a little cash in lieu of a partial share if your shares do not "split" exactly even,, (a taxable event). But... you will have more shares, and you may be happier.. .
Why isn't this puppy stabilizing at near $17 for a while? I was under the impression the new buyers were expecting an instantaneous gain for their $17 or so new buys. What went wrong? Why is this business happening. . Isn't this a real company with a real growing profits? and sales?
Do we have any info on the number of "new" shares to be issued? That is to say, what amount of dilution are we in for?. I assume that only the new" shares will dilute, the ones from the insiders should already be counted, so I assume that they will not be dilutive. Right?
Why not just do it at whatever the price is. Waiting for a pull back causes a lot of people to miss out on a rising company. How much difference will a few dollars make after it has doubled or tripled?
I have no problem buying something at a new high. That new high should fade into the past soon, if I am buying properly.
Just my thoughts.
