I do not see how they can meet their estimates. They look optimistic to me.

    1. El Nino indicating more snow and rain over the next 12 months.
    2. Surplus of corn, wheat and soybeans.
    3. Republican promise to end corn based energy production.
    4. Russian crop production ramp up as one of their means to help their balance sheet.

    1. Russia plans on massive increase in corn, soybean and wheat production.
    2. Republicans certain they will end the production of corn based energy products.

Fortunately I added before this huge run up.
LCI catalyst appears clear to me with acquisition even though it requires a bit of debt.
CALM egg company with massive upside in earnings this year with great dividend.
PPC chicken company with p/e around 6 with feed (corn, wheat, soy, fish meal prices plummeting) and new chicken restaurants opening in the thousands.
SAFM same catalysts as PPC, both extremely inexpensive stocks from earnings and fundamentals perspectives.
All have high short positions for no fundamental reason. In the case of CALM the high short position has existed for over 10 years but the stock has risen more than 90% of the market over the past 20 years.

There is nor has there been any news in India about Amira whatsoever.

Makes no sense. Searched all major news outlets and business news sites. Nothing.

    Why no coverage at all?

IBN is far more profitable than most Asian banks and clearly has the best management.

I think, for now, $55 is fair but $60 within six months.
I agree with znvstr on that point.

It really depends on what type of investor you are. For people who just buy and hold, CALM is one of the very top tier stock price appreciation stocks of the decade, beating most "high flyers". Its business is very basic, very easy to understand, dependent on corn, rice, fish, soybean, and other ingredient prices. In other words you can pretty much buy some share and hold forever.... or until somebody comes up with artificial, good tasting, genetically engineered egg substitutes (possibly 20 to 30 years from now).

It is just about the very best protein producer from the perspective of the "perfect essential amino acid" content of eggs that can sustain animal life forms, particularly chickens and humans.

Not only is it very high on the protein content but also the best value in cost of that protein. Virtually nothing else beats eggs unless you mix several other types of foods to get those essential amino acids. I know of a group of peoples in Asia that eats primarily eggs, bananas and little else and they survive to ripe old ages. A friend of mine did the same for 2 years and remained quite healthy except he lost a few unneeded pounds.

    1. I read the balance sheet coming out of this quarter which indicates good omens for next.
    2. I am retired from the poultry business and realize the excellent management, performance, dividend and continuous diligence to detail of this company.

    Fully agree.
Interesting how shorts start their attack just prior to blowout earnings surprises. Shorts know VDSI beats estimates consistently and consecutively.
    Earnings surprise% +88.90% +180.00% +40.00% +61.90%

    Sentiment: Strong Buy

Notice how this stock has its rolling pattern and how short each cycle is.

Should be relatively rapid move to top of cycle this round as in the past.

    Higher highs each cycle.

    Sentiment: Strong Buy
