    PCLN investing in CTRP.
I sure hope it works out but virtually every other investment by American companies in that part of the world ends up ending badly.
QCOM MSFT AAPL CTB are a few examples of companies getting burned.
Also, today, several auto manufacturers have been accused of monopolistic attributes.

  • Anyone that buys any stock should spend at least 2 weeks reviewing its earnings statements and balance sheet reports looking for negative numbers, zero revenue, profit margins, return on assets, accounts payable, accounts receivable, debt, retained earnings, capital stock, net tangible assets, stockholder equity, current ratio, balance sheet trends, insider activity, dividend payment history, dividend trends over years, payout ratios, price/sales, price/book, price/earnings, PEG ratio, etc. In other words, basic research. It's YOUR money and it's YOUR responsibility.

  • Ms Mallika Srinivasan now owns directly an indirectly 5,678,529 shares of Agco.
Does anyone know who she has been accumulating shares for?
She has proven to be a wise investor in the past.
I wonder if this company might end up in the hands of a major India conglomerate via takeover.
India likes machinery and transportation companies. The Tata family of companies purchased the likes of Rover and Jaguar. Ms Srinivasan might want to own more agriculture.

No insiders buying means not a bargain.
No women executives in a company benefiting more than 50 percent from women.

Executive compensation cut in half would leave this company unprofitable.

Executive compensation is eating ALL of the profits from this company.

Executive compensation ratio to earnings is excessive relative to size and complexity of this business.

This is not an investment but rather an executive club employment agency.
