But who would buy Avid? Adobe has Premier which they have based their video future on, and Apple has no interest in Avid. Blackmagic, perhaps? Sony? Avid is a very, very small company with a tiny market cap - easy to buy, but who will take a chance?
Terrible report. obviously written by Avid shills. Dozens of fake replies praising the report didn't work very well either. The fundamentals of this company are incredibly grim. They can no longer hide their inability to compete in this market.
No, Steve paid Xerox to use SOME of the ideas Xerox invented. Xerox had great ideas at the Palo Alto Research Center (PARC) but the corporate bigwigs in Rochester were more interested in copiers. Xerox pretty much ditched their entire computer division, even though they invented a huge number of important technologies. Xerox -invited- Apple to look at the Xerox Star and Alto, and Steve and his team were greatly inspired by this visit. If you ever SAW an Alto or Star, you would realize that Apple took the ideas of Xerox and made them practical. Xerox never did that, and wasted millions on research that never amounted to any income for stockholders.
