What is the reduction in price? What is the deal with Daimler? Is there some reason the drive trains are cheaper? Are they cheaper for all Daimler customers or only Tesla?
I think this is a goose chase
Berkshire Hathaway always reports Fridays so investors and analysts have lots of time to examine the results. They view shareholders as partners in the business.
Figured I could build my own since Tesla orders their parts from the established businesses.
Just ordered my drive unit from Daimler, my batteries from Panasonic and am trying to decide on the suspension. Anyone know who Tesla uses for those components?
Hydro electric plants that flood vast bog areas can have a larger green house gas impact than fossil fuel stations. Taking these lung areas out of production also has effects.
The real environmental issue is the concentration of populations on unsustainable land masses. The move to urbanization. Concentrating all the waste production in a small areas, often near coasts. All the phosphorus from concentrations of human and animal waste feeding our other lung, the oceans. The over-sequestration of C02 by algea into the ocean, ocean acidification. The birth control drugs concentrating up in municipal waste steams. Cities are bad for the environment. Coal plants in Wyoming - not so much. These and other serious issues will emerge one day to trump the one sided story of green house gas emissions. We are after all, living in an ice age, or more specifically an inter glacial period during an ice age. Notebly the most stable and favorable period of history for temperatures and climate. Statistically we are due for a change. It might not be a warming event, just as likely back to glaciers and the ice.
Tesla has problems with the culture. They have trouble establishing charger stations and then buying the electricity for them. China will be a huge cash draw for many years to come, and a scaled back approach would make good sense. I expect Musk to move slowly on china. he might elaborate in the cc
If they can be smart in the charger station infrastructure, get some local relationships with power distributors they can earn a strong position in the luxury market
you are not serious are you?
When there are more sellers than buyers the price goes down and the opposite is true for the other side. What you see is a bit of a sell off into the weekend. If a bunch of people are worried about the stock price rising and getting away from them they will bid it up and if they think there could be some short term selling pressure they might sell prior to the weekend or the quarterly report. No big conspiracy
you should find a new name, you insult us real farmers. Yes I retired young and bought a farm in 2010 with all the money I made in the market.. Land is a good investment and diversification makes sense in today's market. & I am too young to just sit around.
I have been bashed by plenty of bashers like you. I don't have a bad opinion of long only investors. Whats wrong with short sellers? Whats wrong with making money in either direction?
I agree, there is no immediate need. The timing looks about right too. I think they have room to do a little sandbagging this quarter, give the new CFO a good starting position. As long as they get the stock price back up by the end of 16 they are sweet.
maybe the headline for Tesla on Thursday next week will be similar to Linkedin this week " failing to mask issues"
it doesn't matter
Number of shares means nothing. Splits allow for smaller ownership positions and not much else.
Warren Buffet has never split the Berkshire A shares, and only came out with the B shares to allow for smaller ownership positions.
For that reason
no buyers, few sellers stock ticks down. more sellers than buyers stock ticks up. not much of anything going on yet
