to the time to short this stock again.
Accounting scandels are brewing and the longs are talking of $300 again......................that is a sure sign of impending share price drop
Having trouble with your math?
Solar is a great invention. I have solar (off grid) at my farm shop. It works a charm. I have lead acid batteries to store the power.
Net metering is also a good thing if costs are correctly allocated. The problem is some states dictate that power companies buy the power at out of market rates. If the costs of service are correctly allocated then no customer is disadvantaged. That would be how Nevada has rearranged its net metering rates and it appears SC is also on board with cost of service rates. If a solar generator is getting retail rates and not paying line connection charges they are essentially being subsidized by ordinary customers. The young couple struggling to make ends meet is paying for some rich guys solar.
I agree solar power produced in excess should provide a credit for the producer in proportion to the benefit. The person down the street with no solar should not pay extra because a neighbor puts in solar.
As far as tesla's connection to solar................there is none. A tesla car does not care whether it charges at day or night, from solar power or coal fired generation. It gets 250 - 275 miles out of a charge under ideal conditions. The state electricity numbers are published and show how much CO2 is emitted per kw on average. you can do the math. Many hybrids are lower emitting that teslas and if you use cabin heat many ICE cars also work out better. Teslas work well when little or no cabin heat is required. If you have superchargers for range anxiety all the better. If you are using a supercharger at peak times of the day, the source of power generation may be higher emitting than the state average. Right now simple cycle gas turbines make up the peak power demand and emit higher than state average CO2. In the future, in states with high solar output, this could change. Solar generally produces more during the peak hours so any solar added to the grid is helpful in reducing peak emissions.
ice extent is building in Antarctica .........3rd largest on record behind 1&2 which were 2013 and 2014
North is warming and south is cooling. Wish the reason was known, or even that someone was looking at it from objective science basis. Why is the top 100 meters of ocean cooler than normal or average?
Nikola Tesla was a genius, died broke.
Business fundamentals are not so good. Accounting practices are deceptive. Production is problamic, reliability issues are building in size and cost. Demand is an emerging issue for the model S. Giga factory can do nothing to reduce raw material costs. Battery partner forecasts of little growth. Competition is building rapidly. Capital is the biggest issue.
If Tesla can raise capital they have a chance to survive and potentially thrive. If they fail to raise capital before the next quarterly report, there is a good chance the stock price will drop in half
RNW has a bright future, with a $30 per tonne carbon tax in Alberta and a firm commitment from federal and Alberta Governments to support the move to renewable energy.
RNW could also be a takeover target .............attractive set of assets for the longer term future
There is a large contingent waiting to short again as the price moves up. The hype is predictable.
The communications chief left Tesla.....so did Kinder Morgan leave Enron before the collapse.
Still too early but as we approach the Q1 sales numbers the time for a massive slump will be upon us. Look for a secondary offering soon to fuel the cash burn
Lets pay the ringleader a couple hundred million more..............
Jan 29 Elon received 532,000 shares paying 6.63 per share, the on Feb 8 received 676,000 shares for $6.63 increasing his holdings by 2% per month. That's over $200,000,000 in pay so far in 2016. ........ a bonus for ?????
Dilution is the solution and shareholders get the shaft again..............
I have solar panels - non solar city...............I do not have a short position but SCTY ripping off customers and fleecing shareholders is shameful. they should be indicted for fraud
Giving solar a bad name as well
My only short is tesla....June options but solar city #$%$ me off. They are ripping people off. The big venture capitalists are milking hundreds of millions from shareholders and the business model is to fleece customers. I want solar to have a bright future and these guys are shysters. Elon at least holds his shares................Fisher just getting rich off the unsuspecting
Musk must be in on the dishonest behavior, he is at the top of the food chain............big business out of control
solar city management is skimming millions, while misleading customers and packaging toxic debt CDO's and will be indicted at some point in the near future
yes solar city is accredited...........with over 300 complaints that have been closed for questionable reasons...............maybe Tesla is right not to join.............thanks for the enlightenment
yest they have received several complaints
