That is because XRX did NOT CLOSE ABOVE $12.00. THERE WAS NO GOOD NEWS. SO Big X went nowhere and nobody posts because only the nutjob who thinks it will close above $12 by Friday controls our conversation.
No, I am not interested in his contract. I assumed, probably incorrectly, that the contract comment referred to ACS contracts, not his own. Now, CEO contracts just love golden parachutes which are so offensive it is not laughable. Nardelli almost wiped Home Depot off the map, got a ton of money to sit on a beach for six months and then went to Cerberus for example. FUMU, the old IBM acronym still is in effect. You know what that means don't you? But on his own contract, doubtless he hit Xerox in the pocketbook really good.
From the front page, Yahoo news, a Danish newspaper says CSC is a takeover target from an Indian company. Wha??? Gee, one Indian company buys another Indian company, big change.
eh, no. Not today. Once again, another hysterical rant and waste of this board. Please, have faith in another company.
SHUT UP. This WAS a board to discuss IBM, remember, larger diversified computer company. Not to discuss Obama or politics. Go yammer about Pennystocksweekly while you are at it somewhere else or how you made $200 investing in #$%$. SHUT UP
I have long given up shopping for product at both Best Buy and to a degree at Radio Shack. In both cases, prices are way way too high and both have limited product inventory. That said, RSH is also an electronics heaven for finding small stuff - fuses and items you cannot really find easily in retail, but these items do not generate enough profit to support retail stores. I genuinely like the staff, which is sad to see so many stores close. They are talented, generally smart and come from a hurtful background too, many ex-IBMers are there and they are already bitter about Big Blue. I am not surprised to see RSH fading but it will be missed.
And being excellent at negotiating contracts is entirely different once the contract is signed and ACS has to go to work to fullfill the contract. Just see note on Nevada as posted. You can get a contract by promissing the moon. Bringing it to Earth is a little harder. Besides, what the hell has he negotiated of late?
Thanks, I hate those PENNYSTOCKSWEEKLY posts too. The user ID is always only a few hours old per day, they robopost on a hundred boards and Yahoo does nothing to stop them, the value of these boards has been generally reduced to a joke. That and political rants also offend me here. I disagree with people about Aon, among others, and agree sometimes but I keep my discussion thread limited to AON or issues I think relate to the company. Good post Quarry.
Not quite a divorce, yet .... but ACS is once again bungling a healthcare job. Nothing new there.
I am so glad you have mastered cut and paste so you can copy my messages on this board. You have a great career ahead of you with CSC. Please see their website for employment opportunities in India.
He purchases Bear Stearns, a mess, and keeps his job. His London office racks up gargantuan losses and he keeps his job. JPM has a bad quarter, and he fires a few thousand people. Hey, I like management as well as the next guy, but this is wrong.
damn tab key, IBM has historically been a difficult company to manage. Break it up? Nope. Parts that do not work well together? Yeap. Layers of management? EGAD, too many. Rather like the old USSR in some ways. Still, I always wish it well at the end of the day and hope for better.
You want to attack a poster, how about those damn PENNYSTOCKWEEKLY trolls that are blast posting on damn near everybody every 2 days under an alias that is created that day. F'Crissake at least most of us discuss IBM.
I shall defend protocol here, the handle is YIELD of my dreams, and even though I disagree often, at least show courtesy of proper identification here. Now, this is IBM so even an acronym will do such as YOMD.
So, then, the other countries around Israel that receive US Tax dollars should have the right to destroy Israel. AntiSemitic #$%$ that you are, why not discuss Microsoft. BTW - convert to Judiasm, ever been to Israel? I have. Better yet, try to find your local #$%$ bund center for support.
You told me not to post for 24 hours, I followed your correct advice. My point about 401K is that IBM has screwed it's staff with their own contribution, so a 401K by itself is NOT a guarantee of corporate goodwill.
Yield of my dreams says the report is good for IBM and of course bashes me in the process, so Board Moderator, I guess IBM is doing so good that Ginny and her croni,,,eh, management team can reinstate their bonus structure and stop the reduction in force that is going on right now. After all, those quarterly results were just sooooo darn good, right?
I am certain that Australia, AstraZeneca, Hilton, Service Master, State of Texas among others would, of course, agree they were well served by IBM, eh India.
