WOW, there is the GOOD NEWS we have been waiting for.
Maybe, maybe not. Jobs are an EXPENSE and that pulls it DOWN .
Maybe not $12 by Friday after all. Whichever one you want to pick.
From glassdoor, again, this person has a right fine job at Aon...
I work at home ... they are in Canada. They commission me to paint portraits for their 25 year employee incentive. Super nice people
Yes, that would be a fine job, right?
Used to think??? So what are you thinking now since the earnings were horrible?
......... in India.
In a nutshell, concise and to the point. You did leave out sending a ton of jobs to India and sending customer satisfaction into the toilet as a result.
Cringely pointed out that the cloud is now a commodity business, nothing special and companies have a wide range of choices for cloud support of their data, hence IBM is looking at it through their old dominance glasses, but it is like shopping for pasta. Many choices and Big Blue, Ginni, offers nothing new or spectacular to support an IBM Cloud initiative. Hence, no revenue. Same for mainframes.
IBM HAS NEVER BEEN A SOFTWARE FIRM, their entire history smacks of failures here, and I remember old OFFICE VISION. Seemed they bypassed old Windows in favor of OS/2. Remember that? Billions down a rat hole. And software ever since has bombed. And CLOUD? DAY LATE, BILLIONS SHORT. This firm is slowly collapsing and Ginny has nothing to show for it save her delusions.
My my, predicting a huge stock rise as if IBM is doing anything great or different from what it has been doing, i.e. banking the farm on Watson and stock buy backs and sending jobs to India.
Was having breakfast in a hotel last week when some fellow walked by wearing his red MAN U shirt with Aon on it. Wow, have I forgotten about that one!! And look at the revenue he is pulling in too.
