The Labor Dept .fined J&J $2.1 million for cheating workers out of minimum wage and overtime pay. I guess mgmt. just plain forgot to include that in discussing the #$%$ 4Q and year results.
They think comps will be -2% in 1Q, but improve to +3% by 4Q. My guess is 4Q will minus 3% comps. There is no reason for the downtrend of the last several years to change. Competition still growing from TFM, KR, WMT etc.
There are five or six publicly traded aircraft lessors, plus the divisions of banks, General Electric etc. CIT Company has a leasing division with 300 or so planes, which may be spun off soon.
I've never been stockholder of AL etc, because I wonder about the business risks at all those airlines around the world. And why would they not lease more directly from Boeing or a bank, instead of supporting an intermediary?
Where am I wrong?
