Not quite sure where you knowledge of American history comes from nor do I follow your analysis. First of all as a life long New Englander I don't know what you are talking about when you refer to a New England "Don't Tread on Me" flag. The first flags with that motto were flown officially in South Carolina, Virginia, and PA. It was also flown by the U.S. Navy and the Marines in early days of this country. It flew along side the American flag during both the Revolution and the War of 1812. Today Don't Tread on Me flags are symbols for the Libertarian and Tea Parties. It is not a New England" flag and does not fly on the grounds of any State Legislature. If the flag, which flew along side of the American flag for a time as we fought for the freedom to expand westward, is as repugnant to you and Native Americans as the Confederate and #$%$ flags are to most Americans then I suggest you express your disgust to Libertarians and Tea Baggers.
