Your trying to compare nickels to dollars. 50 billion(huge sum) will be printed because of this accounting trick to fund the government thru september.

by monett4 •May 10, 2013 3:20 PM50 billion of that is really not a taxpayer payback. writing down losses (deferred tax assets) and claiming that as a credit is just an accounting trick. treasury still will need to print this money and it will add to our deficits. it will temporarily keep the government funded however which is why obama likes this scenario so he can go on summer vacation.

yeah well use funny accounting tricks Like for instance deferred assets or losses to account for 50 billion of the money the treasury will now print to fund the government is really just more money being printed. FNMA WRITING DOWN LOSSES AND CLAIMING IT AS A PROFIT IS REALLY A SLAP IN THE FACE FOR TAXPAYERS THAT BAILED THEM OUT. ITS ABSURD FOR THEM TO BE ABLE TO DO IT TO START WITH WHEN ITS THE TAXPAYERS MONEY THAT WAS USED FOR THE BAIL OUT IN THE FIRST PLACE. . SMART MONEY IS WISER THAN THIS AND THEY KNOW FNMA ACTUALLY PAID BACK LIKE 8 BILLION WITHOUT THE FUNNY MATH.

No matter if they promised in 2008 they would wind down fannie and freddie. Most are betting a little dirty lobby money from the hedgies will change all that. Lawyers lie the truth is not in them.
