    In the last thread, I found out a number of individuals had issues calling into GLD's inquiry line. I'd like to hear more on this so if you do have a horror story calling into State Street, feel free to share your account of what happened.

    I called in with some fairly simple questions pertaining to GLD. A rep named Brian introduced himself and offered to answer my questions. As soon as I gave out my first inquiry, I heard someone in the background repeating exactly what I said in an attempt to mock my voice. I had a little trouble believing what I was hearing and thought I must have heard wrong. Aren't these reps supposed to be professionals? I went on with the call and the same person in the background continued to repeat and mock what I was saying. When I confronted them, they disconnected my call.

    I have since been told by colleagues that 'Brian' likely forgot to put me on mute while putting me on speaker for his 'buddies'. Regardless, there is no excuse to crucify me for their own entertainment. I wonder how many others have they done this to in order to satisfy their personal amusement? I can't imagine any self respecting individual tolerating such garbage. In firms with a professional standard, this would never happen but I suppose this occurs in State Street because they have no concern for their reputation or customers.
