you people do realize the sale price is $196/share in cash - right? I'll repeat $196/share - not 191+/share. OK just making sure there were no morons who cannot do math. Oh by the way, MSFT does not go back on a purchase price. $196/share is about is guaranteed as it can get without being 100%.
Certainly reminds me of the good old Yahoo, CMGI, CSCO days back in 2000. I don't care how good a company is, how much of a "disrupter", how fast it is growing, etc. adnausium; a 300 P/E stock is setting up for an incredible fall. WMT has a P/E of 15 and (despite what you might think as an AMZN long) WMT does not stay 2nd for very long. Nothing and I mean nothing justifies a 300 P/E - EVER!!!!!!! Longs you were warned; end of discussion.
Incredibly slanted; painfully one-sided; not to mention very very short sighted. The MF author must be short VNR. That is why you do your own research and never rely on pimpled face teenagers like the ones that write MF articles and allow them to value companies for you or influence your stock decisions. Otherwise, you get what you deserve.
Agreed; maybe once oil hits in the range of 55+ to 60+ ; maybe it removes some of the fear of old hedges running out and then maybe gives investors assurance that the company can stand on the price of oil alone without fear of hedging the wrong way in the future. Again, just spitting out another useless opinion. All I know is I am long too many shares to start thinking negatively now. You are right; this stock price was at or near (NOW) what it was when oil was at its low - and it has almost tripled since then without any improvement in the stock price. I gotta try to convince myself of something; and hope I'm not lying to myself with this long winded explanation - LOL!
Longs ( I am one) - do not expect any improvement in this stock until VNR mgmt. provides adequate assurance this company will remain an on-going concern. That will not happen anytime soon. Obviously, the best way is to actually produce a profit once again. That will also not happen for some time as well. Just be patient and hope the company stays afloat until we get oil back over 60. Just my opinion.
LNKD will not solve all of its revenue issues (from last quarter) to this quarter. Nothing turns around that fast. Prudent investor should expect another weak quarter with today's earnings announcement. This will likely re-test its lows level of a few weeks back. Lows always have to be re-tested. I hope I am wrong with LNKD today.
