we're going to start seeing ACI - like moves with BTU. momentum building, shorts are running for their lives.
" they are screaming " SHORT LIVES MATTER ", but they are toast and they know it. BTU is going bust thru $ 3 tomorrow. sure, we might get small pullbacks, but pps is headed to $ 7- $ 9

Is ASTI declaring Bankruptcy this week?

makes you wonder what thi companies ulterior motives were. maybe time to contact the S.E.C. ? -

    1904

Technically the shareholders approved the plan at the end of 2014, of which TFG (largest shareholder stake) and the Board (cummulatively the next largest shareholders until recently) all approved the deal.

Husdon is restricted to $28 million converted at the alternate conversion price... Unfortunately, at these prices thats like 280 million share dilution!

Not sure why they would do that to their own investment unless they strongly believed that ASTI was planning to default on the series D or they would never recover any of the loan. Or maybe they got sick of recieving their interest as shares instead of cash. In any case they penned a sweetheart deal in which they can make money regardless of where the stock goes. They may be intentially trying to get it delisted in order to recieve their special payments on the series D for default.

ASTI is prohibited from doing any buy-backs until they call their Series D shares back, so only an outside firm could come in and scoop up these cheap shares. Vanguard scooped up half a mil back when the price was in the 0.60-0.70's. Not sure where any of the intitutional buyers are on this one. And with 20+million in cash laying around... they still have at least three quarters before BK assuming no sales.

yes . it is interesting as to what's going on with TFG RADIANT and ASTI. maybe we 'll know more with the upcoming investor's c.c. in sept. we don't have much to go with right now. I'd like to see HUDSON lay off the selling for awhile. they have killed pps. when they are done, new buyers will start coming in.

no, I'm not short. still very long and frustrated here. I dam sure hope this turns around. i'll be a happy camper, that's for sure. but I have my doubts at his point.

  • rkododge rkododge Aug 30, 2015 6:19 PM Flag

yea, I agree TFG RADIANT bought shares @ $ 1 pps for a reason. but wouldn't they be loading up @ .10 cents ? why would they pay much more ?

  • rkododge rkododge Aug 30, 2015 6:16 PM Flag

if you read my posts, you'll see I am still holding a significant amount of ASTI shares, with average of .194. needless to say, not happy with this one . I have pretty much wrote this off as lost money, but I figure I've held this long, I may as well see where this plays out. it is what it is. win some, lose some.
they had to know the debt. loans would be converted at some time, but I don't think they saw this amount of share to be dumped like they have been. but who knows, maybe they know something we don't ? we shall see. adma holdsworth (i.r.) did say there will be a company investor c.c. in sept.

  • rkododge rkododge Aug 30, 2015 3:59 PM Flag

it would be pointless for the company to issue any statements at this point. as long as HUDSON continues to dump shares, the pps will continue to drop. they have no control of the situation.

  • rkododge rkododge Aug 29, 2015 5:15 PM Flag

why would APPLE or GOOGLE buy this now ? the pps is going much lower. HUDSON still has millions more shares to sell.

  • rkododge rkododge Aug 29, 2015 5:13 PM Flag

those posted positions are from 2013. if this company really has any confidence, the would be buying shares @ .10 cents, they did not see the toxic convertible debt coming home to roost this fast. they still have about 3 months til the BK. the $20 million cash will make nice parachutes.

no, the china factory deal has been terminated-

Form 8-K for ASCENT SOLAR TECHNOLOGIES, INC.

    11-Aug-2015

Termination of a Material Definitive Agreement

Item 1.02 Termination of a Material Definitive Agreement.
As previously disclosed, on December 28, 2013, the Company entered into a definitive agreement for the establishment of a joint venture with the Government of the Municipal City of Suqian in Jiangsu Province, China ("Suqian"). The purpose of the joint venture was to build a factory located in Suqian to manufacture our proprietary photovoltaic modules.

The Suqian joint venture project has progressed more slowly than originally anticipated due to a number of factors including short supply of needed technical skills in the Suqian area and other factors affecting the long term viability of the partnership.

Accordingly, on August 5, 2015, Suqian and the Company mutually agreed to terminate the joint venture project. The parties will liquidate the joint venture and distribute any available proceeds to the parties pro rata in accordance with the parties' contributions to the joint venture to date.

To date, the Company contributions to the joint venture have consisted of (i) $320,000 in cash and (ii) certain technical and engineering consulting services. To date, Suqian has contributed $960,000 in cash to the joint venture. The Company does not anticipate having any material current or ongoing liabilities relating to the joint venture or its termination.

RADIANT has ceased buying shares. when they bought in @ 1 pps, they did not anticipate HUDSON to start dumping millions in convertible toxic debt. the vultures came home to roost. there's no end to the selling in sight. maybe @ 0. only 3 more months until pink sheets, then B.K.

not til December. they will reverse split a few times, prepare their "golden parachutes" with the $ 20 million in cash., and then it will be B.K.
they are just buying some time right now. notice how quiet everything is ? they had to cancel the china factory venture due to "lack of technical support " ??? lol. thats a good excuse. they can't even hold an investors c.c. to address investor concerns. $ 3.85 down to .10 cents ?? the rats are scurrying off this sinking ship fast !!

  • just call adam holdsworth @ investor relations. ASTI has until December to get nasdaq compliant, no way they get to $ 1 pps by then , WITHOUT REVERSE SPLIT. shareholders are screwed on this one. single pennies coming by E.O.W. incompetent management ruined this company.

  • they have been in past few months. HUDSON has beaten pps down from dollars to inevitable single pennies. WHY ??? if the company has over $ 20 million in cash ? they have taken on this debt, knowing the consequences. bad thing is, Hudson still has MILLIONS more to sell. do you all notice how they start selling every time there is any bounce or momentum starting ? this scenario isn't going to stop any time soon. seriously - .20 ? .15 ? even .13 is a stretch at this point. I'm not bashing, just telling you guys what you're up against. good example: Friday pps finally went up, hit .135 , then HUDSON hit the gas pedal- pushig pps right back down again.

don't be so disgruntled. stay positive and keep accumulating shares. ASTI will turn around. today was worst day in stock market in 18 months. look for a strong bounce tomorrow. this can turn around on a dime. it's done it many times before. prime buying opp. here. don't miss the boat.

    Sentiment: Strong Buy
