broke through support in the $10 to $10.30 range. how low can this go and the bad news must be awful......
i have to suspect that the actual valuation of NRF is much lower than they indicate in SEC filings. market is usually right - but not always
i was going to again increase my holdings by about 25% next week - not likely as will wait and see what is announced towards the end of this month......
Actual EPS was $0.81/sh with a distribution of $0.625/sh for the quarter. $1.35 was the reported EPS before all the GAAP factors that reveal the true profitability of the quarter.
AI had losses last quarter in a similar manner to NRF so peRF will also have a better 4Q 2015......
they have not been posted on yahoo for quite some time used to show up for a day or two and then disappear but have not seen them for over two months you might note analysts projections are over a year old and not current. not a popular stock with analysts which might be part of why it has spiraled lower for the last year
when it trades below $11.60/sh. I increased my NRF holdings by 25% today. Expect the 4Q 2015 dividend to be $0.75 when announced in early March..........
future quarterly distributions may be lower but then again they may not be...........
should be an announcement tomorrow as to what the 4Q 2015 distribution is. probably after the close of the market. good luck to all holders of PER
I see that no one was willing to make a prediction of where NRF was headed but I did get two thumbs down. NRF touched its next support level this morning.
If it was a hatchet job on NRF, was he right for the wrong reasons or ?????? Price of NRF has fallen dramatically since the spin off of NRE and the 2:1 reverse split on NRF.
The value trap seems like a real possibility for NRF as where is the beef (future growth) going to come from? More stock giveaways to NRF management????
The author indicates that NSAM & NRF are value traps and give reasons why the stocks will move lower and why it is out of favor with investors even though the article suggests that the dividend is somewhat safe...... worth a read...... you will have to find it - was at top of YAHOO news for NRF.
1: The low today was $12.05 at 11:50 AM MST; how low will NRF go in 2016?
2: Closing price for NRF on January 29
3: Closing price for NRF on June 30
4: Closing price for NRF on December 30
5: Your reason as to why NRF will be at the stock price you suggest
My answers are as follows:
1: $10.05, 2: $13.10, 3: $14.25, 4: $16.50 5: Bad economy improving by year end 2016 with increasing interest rates
For those that wish to participate the ending time for your input will be Jan 22. I will post the predictions after this date and we will see who if anyone has a handle on NRF and its share price trends....
So DAR was off and the present value of NRF-NRE-NSAM is approaching $20........ only a fool buys a stock based on an evaluation by a poster on a message board.
Good support at $10 to $10.30 (maybe asother support levels have only held briefly). I will add some more shares if NRF makes it to this support level.....
Should have originally added what my point was - do a 6 month chart comparison of prices. AI & NRF follow one another very closely in their downtrend. Both appear to be going lower for the same reason - which is ?????? interest ratees??, economy outlook??? or ??????
DSPSC1, you are correct in that AI is a "C" corporation that trades in mortgage & real estate loans and has been losing their keyster on derivative trades. About 1/3rd of their valuation has disappeared over the last 12 to 15 months (valuation of around $30 to about $20.75/sh).......
Could be there is no good news to announce..... CAD may be in the 80 to 90 cent range but what will the bottom line be??????? another loss of 69 cents per share?????????
A company can only lose so much equity (value) on a quarter to quarter basis, the bottom line does matter.......... example of a REIT bleeding value is AI......
Missed by a penny........ the question is will this support level price hold??????
If you compare recent 10Q filings for NRF vs HCN or HPT one may understand why NRF has plummeted
AI is also bleeding and in sync with NRF
Cut is unlikely for the 4Q 2015 dividend but after tht I believe you are in the ballpark for a probable distribution cut to somewhere between $1.80 and $2.20 ($0.45 to $0.55/qtr) with $2 being your reduction of a third
I have said this for almost six months and there are those on this board who indicate that CAD is such that my scenario is unlikely. Time will tell who is correct.
I did add a few shares today for the +22% annualized distribution and will add more shares when NRF reaches its next major support level (assuming it does)...... I can live with a reduction on an annualized basis of a 15% distribution.......... but do believe it is extremely unlikely that NRF will see $20 per share over the next three years (at least 1/2019).....
If that fails to hold $10 is likely. Where is the sharp falling knife going to find firm ground????
Part of the problem is that this type of REIT is out of favor with the investing public, a second factor is that NRF management has and continues to award themselves huge incentive bonuses when the stock has fallen in value by over 60% over the last year or so........
If one looks at HPT (motels in USA) it is paying a quarterly dividend of $0.50/sh or $2/yr and trades at a little over $24/sh. Compare that to NRF which is presently at $13.75/sh and pays a quarterly dividend of $0.75 or $3/yr. How can anyone not believe that NRF is going to cut its annualized distribution that is now 21.8%. Should they cut the dividend the share price will drop significantly lower. Still guessing the dividend will end up in the $1.80 to $2.20 range on an annualized basis ($0.45 to $0.55/qtr).......
Time will tell.......
Good luck with your investing
