the last thing we need to hear her today is your crying they gave you two bones recently: par payment and ER. If you dont like sams cheerleading why would you want the CEO to do it for you. do your DD and sit and watch.
I added some to trade in a week or two as it wil be back above old high by then if you look at chart a downturn of this magnitude has never held more than a few days. and they are few. Once everyone realizes that earnings are still gaining rapidly they will be back. FPE is too low.
what you are saying is libelous since you didnt state it as your opinion an instead stated it as fact. I would be very careful, more than one investor has had huge legal bills for making such statements.
as you even state nov was mostly stocking so it is really irrelevant i would expect numbers to grow for several months as more become aware of it and refills come in it is too bad we dont have accessto IMS numbers since there is not a lot of price competition in generics it is doubtful there will be much dropoff esp w PAR as they are one of the largest generic manufacturerers in the US and hold a lot of pull with distributors. Your scare tactics are poorly made up.
if you look at their history the yahoo estimates are very close to reality and a small miss was not unusual but almost expected.
dividends do not reduce profits they are a disbursement of profits, a corporation has to pay taxes on those dividends as earnings and reports them as earnings. That is why you get a special tax basis on dividends and why it comes off stock price. Dividends will support stock price.
I own 24k shares and trade it most days, I have gotten my cost basis lowered $4 by doing so. It is a slow grower and not real flamboyant but it is real steady up. if it hits 110 it will be my first 7 figure winner. that is my goal on it for year end. I have that goal here also but it needs to get to 12.50 to do that but it is possible but may take 2 yrs. IMO. I am happy long term here but doing better on GILD as it is just over half my portfolio
earnings for first quarter have in the last four years come out on
april 3, 10,12, and 14 so I wouldnt expect them until second week of April but we may not hear what we get from PAR until earnings either as we heard last time 2/3 and three months on that is May. This could cause a delay on ER this and future times around so wouldnt get too excited if it comes later than what you feel.
i bought some this morning early and sold the position I bought for a profit to lower my cost average some more. I couldnt get all i wanted I put in an order at 3.74 filled 4400 and the stock never looked back so later I sold the 4400 for a small profit and will wait for another opportunity. trying to get my cost basis down to a point where I will be green lol.
to a certain extent you both are correct, the yield on "his money that he invested" is fixed, however I figure like afte the fact if I buy at $10 and it pays $1 in dividends it was paying 10% when I bought it but if it goes to $11 and still paying $1 then I am recieving 9% on my equity and it if I dont sell it then I have to use the 9% figure comparing it to other alternatives. When I bought a farm for $300 per acre and the guy next door sold his for $600 I always hoped the guy wouldnt offer me $600 because I loved that farm and didnt think it was workth $600 and would have had to of sold it. He didnt offer and now it is worth $2500 per acre and I still am not looking for offers.
that is correct but it hasnt gotten to $11 yet and there will be more selling between now and friday so I hope to get below that level looking at the last several months it sells off after dividend for 7 to 10 days then starts its rally up to dividend. I will follow course and reenter for a short trade.
the only variance here that could give different fluctuations is stocking orders that may miss end of month and come at first of month but it should be fairly smooth and they will report it just as they did last ER and prorate, I cant believe we are having this discussion again after it was decided last ER for us and I was on wrong side last time but not that hard headed. lol
samsa, Last quarter I agreed with your statement but the ER proved that wrong, they do report revenues and therefore earnings on a prorata basis it is just not received but is a recievable and still income so they will prorate the next payment between quarters, they will add the 1.6 million from the last payment in dec and they will add jan and feb for this quarter from teh march payment and it will be announced prior to earnings on how much they recieved but they may not say how it will be distributed so look for a pop on the revenue sharing figure that will come before earnings then everyone will do their own division of revenue until it is posted on ER. listen and learn as I did on this issue. Also they are on fast track on rexista and it could happen in next 12 months, whether it does is another question but it will come a lot faster than 2017.
i am on the federal no call list so I dont get those calls anymore. It saves time and trouble.
