what are you going to do when the 13 days are up, ME i am going to rejoice because your postings will cease.
okay lets forget feelings it has been struggling lately to break above 35 and didn't hold again today, all fluffy feelings aside I wonder if this is topping out, met has outperformed for the last week Maybe people want something with more coverages.
i have a feeling you both are correct as they talked about synergies of some local companies down there with their CO2 production facility. But I hope they take a year off and reduce debt considerably unless it is very accretive
but it was funny, I sold out here today early and took a loss against previous gains, doubt if I will be back for a considerable time frame.
I dont understand why they would borrow money when they have no debt and $3.78 per share in cash or 35% of share value is in cash, I could see a special dividend with that much in cash, heck percentage wise that is more than AAPL. It should make them an easy buyout target.
then that is not good news to me. they will really have to ramp up production to meet extra interest expense and reach goals.
so if they had totally known what was going on as you feel, and had been extremely explicit the previous quarter and the stock tanked on great earnings would you then have been happy. When this was told to the market the stock was at 10 and that is where it is now. the run up came afterwards a month. My feeling is that you would have been more upset that they would be so negative and make those comments without really knowing the future. I rarely hold a stock that goes up 40% in a couple of months especially when it shows signs of topping. I sold with full plans of reentering at a lower price, just not as low as I was blessed with and I think I got in a little soon but with only a half position. I understand your frustration but not sure of what you are exactly frustrated over. I think this issue is a little overblown. but if you are short keep overblowing it and maybe i get the rest of my position as the perma bear says at filling the 8 gap.
I doubt the IRS would let you book costs that were not spent but estimated otherwise every company would be playing that game
they have fought vigorously on these patents and now that they have lost the market will be open to other companies as they develop similar tests using the same type of procedure, MYGN has a leg up because they were the first, the market is growing so the question is do they get a smaller share of a bigger pie which would be more revenue or a smaller share period. My feeling is that they continue to grow but not as fast as previously thought. Austrailia has decided just the opposite as the US supreme court and will give a patent so I don't know that the arguments are totally over yet and that this won't be revisited. I understand but don't totally agree with what the court said. They have a test and it should be patentable but others should be able to use it with a reasonable fee. A gene can't be patented I sold half my position reducing my cost basis considerably and feel comfortable holding and if the price drops adding.
are you sure that it is cheaper than the bank loans?? PSEC makes a lot of these loans and they pay exorbitant rates IMO. I am not sure of what you are saying about it being higher than bank rates, but I do agree that it fixes it and now they can work on things that are more productive.
my feeling is that it is what supports the large short position, I am long but the downside is that the patent loss on some of their tests could hurt future income but I think it is overstated.
what exactly are you upset about, they did tell us about this at last quarter cc but not in great detail.
are you upset
1) because the price went up and you didn't sell
2) because the stock price went up and you bought
3) the price is the same as it was when they didn't give you exact detail now
4) the fact you didn't take advantage
I really see no problem here with management The only problem is that people didn't listen and want to blame someone else. Of course it is easy for me to say that since I bought at 10.75 and sold at 14.75 then bought back at 10.50 and sold half of that at 10.90. This is the stock market learn or get destroyed. don't blame others for your mistakes.
I would say this will take off the table barring a new acquisition of any further share offerings. They should be able to reduce this significantly with cash flow and improve all measurements with time and this takes off all pressure from banks, glad to see this early enough in quarter to help quarter results. I would guess this rate is as favorable as the bank loans
