Good point. Maybe we need to take the trash out with these non value gnats that keeping buzzing nothings trying to bring down FEYE.
Thanks Atty, been a little removed from the market this morning, higher priority to run and bike the beach. have good day.
I may be wrong but I thought I heard on the news this morning that Mike wants VMware also. Sounds like he doesn't want to sell it off. Knowing how Mike thinks and also EMC management they will have a home for VMware. It really doesn,t matter one way or the other than Mike wants to expand his business plan. He's a sharp person. Now Seagate had a close relationship with dell and EMC also not to say that WDC had some also but not as strong as STX
Will it be a breakthru with large run ups, or a blah business as usual, or a bust
Why don't you post what Merrill and BOFA stated this morning. Both companies say feye investment is compelling. Both keep their buy ratings.
I understand your concerns. As it relates to csco chip on their shoulder, the reason why I say this is going back awhile John Chambers made comments that they wouldn't acquire FFIV or FEYE and then asked he went into former csco employee companies that didn't sit well with him. John may not be cEO now but he's still on the board and has influence.
New topic RDWR came out with a warning on earnings another network provider. Analysts just came out of a 2 day rah rah csco is the best roadshow . So analysts are hyping CSCO and in light of RDWR announcement they believe CSCO is taking market share back from all competitors. Going into earnings I would question these analysts conclusions. .
I found an article that was dated sept. 15 that describes an attack that attaches to a router. This was a theory that no one thought could happen but FEYE showed CSCO new routers were vunerable. If you google csco and feye and the date should get you to the article. I believe it was on a feye blog site. Wouldn't let me cut and paste.. Thought it was interesting to share with the board. Csco the 800lb gorilla is trying to turn this large ship but FEYe and FFIV have been proving a tough competitor for sometime. CSCO is unleasing all the pr attacks but once the dust settles we will see at earnings for csco, ffiv and feye what the real truth is. Good luck to all
You really need to get your facts together. We know your short feye. Yes PAN W just found the malware for apple ios. Guess what who was the first company to find it back in Nov of last year. Maybe feye. What company holds the least false alarms, comin you can guess. Your short attempt doesn't work on this board.
Atty we got the people who got out in May and back in Oct. Also the macd triggered so we have those people that wait until the macd triggers to get back in. So we might continue with an uptrend for awhile. the nose dive might be delayed for awhile. At least thats my guess.
Actually I have posted several items early this morning. The problem we have today Piper has a good following and other writers jump on the band wagon. Won;t go thru the holes of the downgrade but it is obvious that the analyst source is CSCO. The 800 pound gorrila that when they speak alot of people listen. But people that follow CSCO closely know their recent track record isn't that good. FFIV was taking market share from them. However the last qtr csco had a good qtr and a new ceo. The problem is the ceo has to prove himself still and its hard to turn a big ship. Whereas FFIV also has a new ceo but looks very good and will keep with Mcadams business plan. Give it a little bit of time and people will wake up how feye has partnerships with hpq, ffiv , checkpoint. They are cornering the market and improving margins by using these partnership. CSCO just has a chip on their shoulder since some of their employees went to FEYE and FFIV
Then you have good ole Harry Dent. Someday he will get it right again but his timing needs to improve. He was on cnbc today. I hate the gloom and doom people especially on a monday morning. Hoping for the vix closes below 20 and if so might give the market some positive momentum to break the s&p ceiling barrier.
They are joining sales forces. Look out shorts
FEYE is partnering with FFIV. This is a big deal. I believe the analyst that just put this downgrade is not feeling too good now.
PLace your bets gentlemen. Premarket before jobs number we're up 100 pts on the djia, after the jobs number we're down 200 points, now we are even and it's only halftime. What a game today. Now where will it close. I say -100pts on the djia. uvxy 57.20. That's my guess. it's one of those days you just walk away and not try to outguess.. good luck to all and have a good weekend. Time to walk the beach.
We still have all those investors that sell in may and come back in Oct. They will be feeling good and will be jumping in. Have a good day.
Actually I'm watcing the hurricane paths since I'm on the coast but so far the paths are way north of me.
Market is actually holding up pretty good in light of the hurricane potential. Are you playing the hurricane playbook going into the weekend.
Obviously you don't follow the flow. The big boys are starting to move in. Vol. was 5X compared to other security firms this morning. On a market overall low volume this stock is doing fine. Time to look at your short position a little closer.
