Bob, You voted correctly. HLSS keeps running and probably has some room to run. Wish I had kept OCN - bought some for a trade and should have held it for awhile.

Trade, I know that GURE's management is not shareholder friendly. What I was trying to point out among other things is that GURE's management could be creating more wealth for their own personal accounts by promoting GURE and making it more shareholder friendly. We would all gain if they took this approach.

If you have been managing your money for 10 years and not sure what you are doing by now - you probably should seek advise. If your wealth has grown or have you lost principle should be considered. Your age is something else think about.

Thanks for your posts Alan. ..GURE probably controls its future because of the large number of shares management controls - although we don't know the total - with probable agreements with outsiders. This unfortunately will probably cap what we should get for ours shares. However unless GURE drifts back to the $1.20 range there is significant probable gains to be made from these levels in the $1.60's... It is unfortunate that GURE does not have some PR in the US and other countries. I know that GURE is a small cap but if there was a forum for GURE to get its story out about how much value there is-even without the gas discovery - it could generate some interest that would raise the share price closer to its real value. GURE's management could benefit tremendously in their personal wealth with the number of shares the own and still control the company. I hope they start by updating their website although that is a small step. If they would try to generate some interest from institutions - and also there are thousands of small investors looking for stocks like GURE - and include they have clean numbers that have been validated would be good for them and their shareholders.

The way I read the press release is that they started deep drilling in September. They did not say that they found gas in September. Also the shares were not purchased in the open market they were compensation.

    Question for GURE

    by rmnew2fl Feb 13, 2015 8:12 AM
    rmnew2fl rmnew2fl Feb 13, 2015 10:27 AM Flag

trade, I agree mostly with what you are saying but the big IF is If the big buyers have enough shares to out vote GURE's management. GURE's management seem to want control over gaining wealth for themselves in the short term. Without the majority of shares the big buyers would have to offer $8 plus to get managements attention. Although there probably would be a deal cut for management we would never know about-may already be in the works......With the large percent of shares GURE's management owns plus the other shares they have probable agreements with - how many shares could the big buyer or buyers control?

    Question for GURE

    by rmnew2fl Feb 13, 2015 8:12 AM
    rmnew2fl rmnew2fl Feb 13, 2015 9:48 AM Flag

The reason I am concerned about any Big Buyers and who they are is that without some pressure from large stockholders-and they must have a large enough percent of shares to challenge management- is that GURE management will totally disregard small shareholders without some pressure or reason to help raise the share price. GURE management with the potential new gas asset has even more reason to buy the company below it true value. The discussion was about a potential $2 buyout before the gas discovery. A couple of years ago the discussion was about a $3 buyout if I recall. What is going to make GURE more shareholder friendly? A buyout is probably the only way the share price will go up significantly and then we will probably not get the value we deserve. I think the YONG shareholders can speak to that.

With 32 million shares traded on one day - is GURE aware of who bought some of the shares. Is GURE aware of any new large shareholders? Have they been approached by any group or individuals? If there is new Big Buyer or Buyers they will not be as passive as the small shareholders have been.

    Sentiment: Strong Buy

Good post. I am somewhat skeptical about the Big Buyer. Much more needs to be known about who and how many shares if any a big buyer made. If it was another Chinese company that is a subject of its own about how they treat shareholders and would they pay a fair price for GURE-I doubt it.. The key issue to me is how many shares did they buy. GURE management has control thru the amount of shares they own and a new buyer will have trouble buying enough share to out vote them. The day over 30 million shares were traded a Big Buyer would have had to have prior knowledge of the gas find- to buy a significant number of shares just on the breaking news without any research by a new buyer is unlikely. imo I suspect there is a link between GURE management and any new buyer-if there is one.

    SA article ATLS & spinoff

Thanks for your posts Mark. I have not bought ATLS yet as I am not sure how this is going to play out as the spinco is probably not going to be as lucrative as many think. A lot has happened since the deal was announced. ARP will probably have to cut it's distribution and even if it doesn't the fear that it will could hold spinco's price down. TRGP has had it's PT lowered considerably. That $160 buyout many talk about will probably not happen. But buying TRGP in the 80's or low 90's might pay off as well or better 6 months from now than buying ATLS now.

    Why The Drop In ETP?

    by runtravrun1 Feb 9, 2015 3:12 PM

A RGP investor filed a lawsuit over RGP not getting enough value in the take over. I don't if this contributes to the drop but have not seen anything else.
