    If the IRA receives more than $1000 in unrelated business tax income (UBTI), your IRA needs to pay tax. Usually your brokerage will do the filing. I just sent Blackstone an email asking how much of the distributions are UBTI. They should report to you the amount of UBTI on your K1, line 20V. This is a result of BX being organized as a MLP.
