    stumbleoften:

It appears you think misfiling drugs as a non Event.
However the FDA thinks otherwise, and so does the Drug Industry,
Next time you see your Walgreens pharmacist out in front, just check what medication you received because Walgreens Rx operational model no longer does..

    Happy Sailing.

    Sentiment: Sell

  • On August 22nd Walgreens announced its pharmacy computer went off line causing long delays in filling prescription medicine.
On September 4th the Wallstreet Journal disclosed a non public Walgreens memo describing a drug labeling problem effecting many of its pharmacy customers medications.
Instead of doing the best thing for it customers and making a public release statement.. Walgreens instead relied on its staff to call these customer, (some may have been on Vacation or out of town and not reachable), to inform them there maybe a problem with their medication..
Walgreens had not made this issue a public discloser until questioned by the press..

More healthcare news available at the Corner of juiced-up and shameful.

    Walgreens #1 Key Metric falls

    by robbsbeach Sep 4, 2014 8:03 PM

Here is a Walgreens metric for you to believe or doubt.
Walgreens claims it has 6.2 million shoppers per day.

    1) 6.2 million divided by 365 days = 2.250 million shoppers a day
    2) divide 2.250 million shoppers by 8,200 Walgreens store count

    3) 2,250,000 / 8200 = 7, 560 shoppers per day, per store
4)7,560. / 16 hrs. open each days per store = 472 ppl. per hour are shopping in a Walgreens store.
Do you really think Walgreens has 472 shoppers pr. hour ?

  • That metric is "customer counts" who are the buyers inside a store, all other are metrics are #$%$, financial engineering are todays drivers running a business, and they making forward projections with structural decisions that have financial impacts that last years..

Even when Hairspray leaves you still have a Board of Directors who allowed this accounting sham to occur. As well as an accounting firm that closed its eyes to the current issue..
This is a mess!!! that Carl Wants to clean up ..I wish him the best and I'm with him after the Headlines appear..

When will you discuss performance and a Emerging outlook?
Pumping based on no market outlook information is a losing position, so I guess your fall from a 70.00+ selling price to 61.00 make you think Walgreens will go back to those levels.
Well I'm looking at the Financial sheets and the engineering baked into those numbers, and Walgreens now shifting money into unknown emerging market risk, and I'm seeing exchange rates impacting forward earning projections carrying a higher load in debt..
I also expect Vanguard to reduce its Walgreens holdings..

    Happy sailing!!!

Look's like the stock price scalper's are setting up for another raid on Main Street assets.
As for Walgreens numbers being up, Walgreens is booking 45% of Alliance boots earnings and perhaps is stuffing their growth into Walgreens reported numbers.

The important fact is that customer traffic is down again. as Walgreens has many more locations than Boots this is telling of Walgreens operations .seeing a decline in Customers traffic.
90 day fills distort the filling numbers but the reduced income can not be hidden.
As for revenue being up Walgreens never tells the investors what Real Estate assets has been sold off..

    Happy sailing!!!

Yes, I tried calling Carl, his assistance asked why I was calling and I mentioned HERTZ,
I then heard Carl barking in background....about hairspray and country Club Executives who can't even publish a financial report to stay on the big board and how the SEC more worried about his Golf game.
    That's when the call disconnected...
I'll try calling Carl after he calms down..

  • Walgreens Captain and CEO reported earnings today that missed Analysts expectations again.
Store customer traffic fell for the 3rd or 4th quarter in a row, however those basket leaving the store where overflowing with low mark up merchandise that did not improve earnings.

Walgreens has not turned around from its course of missing projections, and soon will be chasing revenue in emerging markets where exchange rates are now in decline.
Well, we all should know what happened to the Costa Concordia on its 2012 Voyage with a Captain who was in a life boat before the ship sank.

Wait until this couple gets the bill from Hertz Car rental, gift tax charged to these folks credit card is based on a car rental cost.
These poor folks will get screwed when the bill comes, and should have asked for the cash instead of a nightmare dream rental.

  • As any Investor who follows the Drug Retail sector knows, drug pricing is under global pressure as the populations grows older.
The emerging markets are a very risky business play as most of these governments have stability issues crossed with political corruption and exchange rate fluctuations in Investment risks.
Walgreens Alliance Boots are chasing after these investments, they maybe chasing lower returns as Cash investment and speculation in returns are a unknown fact for this plan..
As Walgreens Co. recently accepted its CFO's resignation for blowing out a projected revenue for 2016 by 1 billion dollars, it is within reason to expect these emerging market investments will take a lot longer learning curve before returns on Investment are realized by WBA.

    GLTA!!!

    It works like this.

    1) EVP Investment managers, Mutual funds, and creditors are stuck in this Company.
    2) Not one of these holders wants to write this Stock down on their asset books.
    3) As long as Hairspray has access to money he will keep buying to hold up this price.
    4) Insider traders with exec. access does not want a Change in leadership see #2
    5) Until the current Large holders can off load this into retirement funds they will keep this false price.
    6) The Hedge funds will continue to skim off money from the retail investors with HS trading.
    7) The car manufactures will look the other way as long as they sell new cars
    8) The Car manufacture Bankers need the sales to hold up their assets in Car manufactures.
    9) The USA government can declare recovery is on the way.
    10) The SEC is a shill for Wall street with no accountability to main street.

No, I'm waiting for the next major Headline that will come out..

"European profits are Dragging down US multinationals"..
This will occur before Walgreens closes on the Alliance boots deal, but you need to follow the Global markets to understand what this is..
