eliapostchild: The EXACT date of dividend payments for NATDF/NADL is rather difficult to predict; however, it always coincides with SDRL's when posted, and occurs every 3 months/quarterly and usually within a few days/week of previous historical dividends paid... Have been with this stock since inception and have not yet been disappointed on any quarter's dividend payment... JF's companies have continually been stockholder friendly... Just a side note:: Payment of the dividend to your accounts usually takes a few more days than what is ultimately posted, so do not get unduly worried if payments aren't credited immediately... GLTA

flatlander: Just received a letter stating that NATDF stock is now :"registered stock" from Fidelity. Interesting that no mention of conversion was made relative to NADL. With an abundance of caution I'm making a formal written request that NATDF stock be converted to NADL stock with Fidelity.. Thanks for the post... GLTA

Double Bottom between 23.03 and 24.18

    by cookiemonsta8 Aug 12, 2013 9:38 PM
    robin0635@att.net robin0635 Aug 15, 2013 6:44 PM Flag

cookiemonsta8: With respect, the numbers presented are too far from the standard mean deviation to be classified as a "true" double-bottom... However, depending on variables such as: 1) the SEC inquiry concluding within a shortened timespan; 2) BRY deal being consummated (which by definition cannot occur until the SEC issue is put to rest); and 3) the price of NG bottoming @ 3.10+/-, then a real "floor-bottom" could be charted... Of greater interest might be to look at a potential double-top around 27.25+/- and see if the RSI there can be breached and maintained upward after a brief back and fill... Aside: Was nice for a change to see the DOW negative 220+ and watch LINE and LNCO trade higher on the day!!! - Regardless, good luck to all...

A Perspective on QII Earnings - Some Facts

Aside from DCF, the numbers were a huge beat in the quarterly - dig deeper into filing and it will also show net purchases up - (as a negative, add into it that today is X-date and nat gas inventories unexpectedly high on today's report)... Adding to position after conference call completes... Good luck to all...

DCF really is $.64. Here are the numbers

diodia2000: Thank you for taking the time to run the numbers in a straightforward manner; we are in agreement that forward distributions are contingent upon the finalization of the BRY deal, and/or another acquisition... More likely than not, LINE and LNCO will trade within its current parameters until the SEC inquiry is concluded, and no amount of discussion is going to change that fact - a 26/p/s threshold appears reasonable, both technically and fundamentally... During this time period the continued regurgitation, by both the shorts and/or the longs, about subjective accounting practices of Linn are misplaced - The focal point of the SEC inquiry lies upon the ability of an MLP entity to purchase an outside holding, in this case BRY, pure and simple... Suggestion: Why not sit back and wait patiently for the SEC to finish its inquiry? The merger cannot go forward, be modified, nor cancelled, until the SEC issue is resolved...

This discussion has been had previously - LNCO is far more difficult to short than LINE - Of greater import is that LNCO is primarliy institutional holders, while LINE is more of the mom and pop variety of holders, who are easily scared from their shares - (as last weeks numbers will attest) - compare the daily trade volume and you will see substantial differentiation... From an historical context, a minimum $3/p/s (approx) variant has been maintained throughout the wild fluctuations of each lately... If you prefer the higher dividend rate and can tolerate the extreme swings in valuations, then LINE may be your better alterative; myself I hold LNCO and trade on the volativity of LINE; depending on how each succeeding bear attack is manipulated - (his last round brougt LINE to the 20's and then recovered to the 26's (great if you bought low and then sold).

Bob: Haven't heard from you in a long time; hope all is well...3x's volume today and up .80 in less than 4 days - sounds like somethings up!!! - good move but a moderate dollar rate doesn't count for a 7% upward momentum without something else going along with it ... Market really top-heavy now, so I'm putting on a "bear suit" for the next few weeks... Good luck...

    8.62% Current Yield

    goldinvestmentmanagement:
Agreed relative to the .10/monthly dividend... (Will add more if it should break 13.72); but holding major acquisitions until after the earnings reports come in and adjustments are made accordingly... Doubt anyone can complain about AWF's management team, but S+P and DOW far too extended at current levels - (although I must admit amazement that it made it back to these levels at all !)...

His posts clearly states that he is neither long, nor short Linn... and only posts for giving correct information to investors so that they do not make a bad investment; I believe even yesterday he posted that "if the uninformed only read his posts"...

    Typical Behavior?

    robin0635@att.net robin0635 Jun 28, 2013 11:40 PM Flag

Ms.Ruby: The relentless manipulation by the bears and shorts in both the press and by posters on these boards against Linn is patently obvious, but I agree completely that proving the case would be quite difficult, even if the SEC were interested - (and they have given no indication of any interest so far)... However, individuals with tight "stop loss orders" were indeed damaged , and once the algo's kicked in they magnified the drops further- more likely than not, before they even knew what happened, their shares were gone - (based solely on misinformation)... Seasoned investor have a tad more control, but the newer breed shoots first and asks questions later... Day-traders made a bundle though, as did anyone with advanced knowledge who would have picked up shares at over a $1.00p/s discount, with zero downside risk... What I found more disheartening was the timing and manner in which it was posted: no references to any source publication; no question of its validity; no added request for ancillary subporting data/sourcing; and no reference about the lack of any comment from BRY or LINE corporate; etc... A sad commentary which makes one wonder...

new2investing: Linn really has a very nice "Investor Relations" (IR) Division, and they are more than willing to answer your inquiries; (before acting on rumors try giving them a call)... As today's erroneous article portrayed: trust but verify... Today was also a good learning experience about "stop-loss orders" - where many had their stock 'called away' because of the markets immediate response to information that proved inaccurate and false - and that happens more than you may think... Good Luck....

purplespyderman: Wonder if this individual(s) would ever publically apologize for the false information he/she posted, without first checking that the information he/she was "regurgitating" was accurate in the first place? (He/she was played like a violin)... Whomever it may be, he/she should feel 'lower than a snake's belly in a wagon-wheel rut', and that really is pretty low!!! Maybe the next time he/she posts, all responses could include the pre-amble: "aren't you the same person who recently published that blantantly false post...", assuming, of course, we were ever able to identify him/her...
