That COST will drop 10 % or around 15 dollars when it reports earnings Wednesday? Like almost all other retailers dropped after earnings--KSS. JWN, TGT, JCP, BBY, etc, etc?

    Too many MOB's

Actually, I just read an interesting stat that really puts all this "MOB" gibberish in perspective and shows how intellectually challenged some people are. Too many MOBs? This year, 24 million people will go on a cruise, up from 23 million last year, according to the Cruise Lines International Association. So over the last 30 years about 500 million people have cruised and 165 have gone missing, either overboard or captured by spaceships (the people who are worried about MOBs will like that). 165 out of 500 million people over 30 years.. I'd say being on a cruise may be the safest way to exist on planet earth.

What must have been drinking when you read the article. According to the Cruise Victims Association, 165 have gone missing from cruises since 1995. With the 10s of millions who have cruised in that time frame, you have about a thousand percent better chance getting murdered in any major US City than anything happening on a cruise vacation.

The CEO of Carnival already has said it was having zero affect on bookings, which are up a lot in the Caribbean. I just got back from a cruise visiting St. Thomas, St Martin, Puerto Rico and Tortola. I don't remember a single mention or concern of anyone about Zika during probably a thousand various conversations with my fellow passengers. In fact I don't think I've ever seen a mosquito in many trips to the Caribbean.

In the day Cuba was described as the Paris of the Caribbean. So there are many historical landmarks and sights. Undoubtedly some will like the atavistic sensation of suddenly being transported to the 50s, experiencing streets filled with American automobiles from that era, as if they'd gone back in time to a better time (at least in their minds) when things were simpler and Detroit built cars that were works of art, damn any concern for mileage goals. Plus the largest island in the Caribbean is something new, something different, filled with new sights and beaches and cafes we have never visited before. Actually your question is kinda dumb. People have always wanted to experience new things.

You're so pathetic. You may as well hang a sign around your neck saying "Pay attention to me! Pay attention to me! My need for someone to pay attention to me is so great that the only life I have is sitting in front of my computer insulting others. Unbelievable. Go to a clinic.

Your writing is the prose equivalent of someone speaking with logorrhea. Yes, it rhymes with diarrhea for a reason.

  • Norwegian Gem--10 day cruise to the Caribbean. I am a heavy investor in both RCL and CCL so it was nice to see the pop in both after CCL earnings while on the Gem. I took a few minutes off from sunbathing to catch the report on CNBC which seems to be standard on the cruise ship TVs these days. My take is cruising is just getting more and more popular. You talk to a lot of fellow cruisers on these trips and everyone is planning their next cruise. It never stops. Many Chinese on board which bodes well for the future expansion of the cruise lines in China. They seem to love it.

Our next cruise is going to be out of Singapore to Dubai. Then I hope "normal cruises" to Cuba are ready to book. By the way, on the way back to NYC, to make up time, our GEM captain said he had to have all the diesel engines running full blast at 3000 gallons per hour (for 2 days). Just imagine the savings these days on lower fuel costs!

This stock goes back to 55 at minimum. Enthusiasm for Cuba cruising will just grow until the cruises start for normal tourists. That will be the time to sell, many months from now.

Bill is the smartest guy in the room so we can't second guess him. Probably not as smart as Trump but close. We really need to appreciate and pay homage to these smart guys we have in our midst,
