And the rest of cnbc pushing gild down your throats?
I did own it back a. While ago and almost bought some in the low 90s thinking it was a steal , only to find out mrk just released a hep drug themselves. Funny I don't recall hearing any of the talking heads on cnbc mentioning mrk as a threat.
It's because Ronald McDonald is smarter than Timmy Cook!
I doubt the run up will be that rewarding. I mean this stock got crushed after Star Wars movie was released. But having said that ,any negative news might be baked in here as well?? According to Iger the bleeding has stopped at Espn ,, to be continued.
I'll use the New York market, as for the Mets and Yankees. There was a time when wpix 11 and wor 9 had the met and Yankees game on. Then came along cable and the games were split about 50-50 as far as which games were on regular tv and their cable channels. Now the Yankee games are on the Yes channel and the Met games are on Sny. Your lucky if there's one game a week on regular tv. If you want to watch them all year you need cable.
Google or Amazon take it out. No need for a streaming service ,what they need is content and dis is loaded with it besides that they're a cash cow with its parks and movie income. This would take them to being a trillion dollar company.
Iger shouldn't be to specific , a beat is a beat.
Talk about the movie line up for this year which looks strong and that's it.
The bottom line is it's a hell of a lot easier to start up a streaming service than to own content a sell it. Go buy a Pixar, marvel, and all other Disney owned studios and films , shows and stations !!!
Bottom line Disney wins. High flyer stocks giving back to value stocks for now :)
Once you factor in debt and the cost of tax to bring the money home from overseas ? No it's not cheap.
Iger shouldn't say anything about subscriber growth and just give the numbers and talk about future investments the co is making around the globe. China, India, Europe.,,,. Abc,Espn will be just fine.
Big movie lineup in 2016, and of course Shanghai..
Disney did pretty good buying Pixar, marvel, and Lucas though didn't they?
Content is needed to stream and dis is loaded. I like their chances.
Good earnings coming up.
Why is the stock down 3 bucks?
I get they're not going to do what they just did, but sw is on the books for this qt too.
