WOW, You have had your ID for just over two weeks and you have 95 posts, and over 700 thumbs down. I think that might be a Yahoo Record. PS.. Hero will post earnings in excess of .60 this year.

    Help me out here.
So the BOTTOM of the range was $2.25 right?
Doesn't that make the bottom of the range a 13% return at current price of $17.30?
And the top would be a 22% return. Sounds too good to be true. I guess that is why its dropped since they included that little matrix.

There are a bunch of competing products to GARP. Shell, BP and several others have basically the same process. Daryl has a patent on this specific technology, but there is a lot out there. My company is kinda a competitor. The thing these guys have going for them, is the relationship they already have with the operator that they are working with. Its hard to introduce new stuff to the oil patch. If they are successful, they will get a few more independent operators on board. The fields they are working in have very small amounts of recoverable reserves, relative to other fields/companies. If they can get some larger fields (like some in Kuwait) , they could be the next Tesla. That is not going to be easy.
I would like to see them combine GARP with Chemical EOR. I think once they combine the two technologies, they will have something big. GARP recovery is limited to oil in place, were if they combined it with a technology capable of moving hydrocarbons into pump placement areas... I have been waiting for the phone call, but it has not come yet.
I bought more this week at 12.49, so I guess that really how I feel about it.

  • "Oh, yes, and the observations from our shareholders and analysts have been greatly appreciated in the lightning. I only know some of you that post on the message boards. And it's been hard not to respond at times, but Bob Miller has certainly kept the record straight, and Ralph [ph] has been an energetic supporter."

    Brought tears to my eyes...

OK, we all know about the preferred. It has a 8.5% yield, based on a $25 evaluation. Its not callable for about 8 more years.

8.5% is too sweet for this market, so it has always traded at a premium, with yields around 7%.

Today, someone is selling all you want for $25.75. That is a 8.25% yield. Obviously that is not guaranteed, but looking at this companies books/records, I am suddenly skeptical.

Does anyone have any idea what the catch is?
