    China Devalues It's Currency

But this isn't an MLP anymore! I'm sure glad Kinder stole my MLP shares, made me pay huge taxes. and gave me a $41.535 basis, which has now lost 21% of that value. With articles questioning the valuation and bond rating of the stock, the price will plummet again. Also, there appears to be overbuilding in distribution. Thanks, Richard! I hope you enjoy the billions you made by throwing us under the truck.

Confederate History Month is about Americans

I'm glad I live in America, too, and that we preserve our history. I visited Andersonville National Historic Site in April, but now it has turned into a POW museum, expanded from the Confederate killing field that it was. I did not look too kindly on the proudly flown Stars and Bars as we drove further south in Georgia after that. Keep the flag in museums where it belongs.

    Dead board

I have held this MLP for a long time, and don't plan on selling anytime soon. In fact, I plan to hold until I die for the tax advantage to my heirs. STON has paid me back everything I have invested, and I continue to get the distributions, although they are taxed now. This board used to be much busier, with lots of good commentary and insight into the complicated financial statements. It's very quiet now.

A few things that should probably be discussed:
    1) The CFO has resigned. Was this forced, or did he actually want to spend more time with his family? Normally, the resignation of the CFO is a big red flag for me, indicating philosophical differences in the management or other nefarious activities. Anyone have a comment? OK, so it was a whole month ago.
    2) Zacks had an article that claimed STON was "overbought" and ready to collapse. RSI was 71.85 for the technicals here. They kept calling it a "stock", so it's probably bunk.
    3) Two positive articles appeared, favoring the high distribution payout of STON compared to any other investments in this low interest-rate environment. STON has always paid a good percentage on your investment, but is relatively unknown or gives most people the creeps. We saw increased activity when Cramer and his minions were playing it. I'm not here for the capital appreciation, though.

What Does the G7 Agreement Mean

"They lied about the stats" -- HUH? "The government has bought off the media" -- HUH? "Only scientists that work on government grants believe in global warming" -- HUH? You people are getting loonier all the time. And what do atomic bombs have to do with it? It was not environmental regulations that drove factory jobs to China, it was greed and things like NAFTA

Here's a link to a NASA article that lists HUNDREDS of world-wide associations of scientists that agree global warming is a problem: http://climate.nasa.gov/scientific-consensus/ Or do you believe NASA faked the moon landings and is a disreputable organization?

We could both melt the ice caps AND THEN go into an ice age. There is an exchange of heat in the Atlantic that could be stopped by dilution of salt water with fresh ice melt. There is CO2 trapped in cold waters in the ocean that could be released also. African coffee production has diminished because the average temperature at night has increased. In my area, alder trees are dying because a type of moth that has never been seen here has moved in because of warming temperatures.

I drive (but conservatively), I fly (rarely), I use natural gas and I consume products. But I recycle too, and try to use resources efficiently. I plant trees and plants and maintain my property to give back oxygen to those who chainsaw everything off their property. I also invest in oil. I'm not a rabid anti-development anti-oil nut like many in my area. I believe in science, and I believe most people care about the planet they live on if they have a choice. We CAN make a difference if people quit using junk science and thinking a conspiracy or politics is responsible for everything they disagree with. Look into the science and hopefully you will be convinced. If not, here is your alternative:

Franklin Graham (Billy's son) will hold up his Bible and drive the rising waters back, just like Moses.

Yeah, and the Earth is flat and evolution is a lie. Too bad you never got past the sixth grade. I hope you don't have retirement property in Florida, or New York City for that matter. When 99% of the scientists in the world agree that we are warming the planet, what makes YOU know more than they do? Your sixth-grade science project that showed cow farts were really beneficial?

Oh, yeah? Ask the buffalo or all the other species man has nearly wiped out if man is insignificant. Man-caused global warming is happening, the science is incontrovertible. Just because we've had ice ages and warming spells in the past doesn't mean man is not causing warming right now. Here's an exercise for you. How many airplane flights occur in a day? How many gallons of fuel is burned by each, and how much of the inefficient burning of the fuel is released into the upper atmosphere? Do you seriously think that pollution has no effect?
