Interesting read today Lindt ended up buying Russell Stover for $1.5 billion. Russell Stover does about $500 mil in revenues. You've got TR doing $543 mil & it's worth almost $2.0. I think it's fairly priced here, and maybe overpriced due to the fact it's probably not for sale.
Who's the genius at GS who came out with this today....NXP Semiconductors upgraded to Neutral from Sell at Goldman
Goldman Sachs upgraded NXP Semiconductors (NXPI) to Neutral saying that with Freescale (FSL), the company acquired the best asset in semis at an attractive price. Goldman upped its price target for NXP shares to $100 from $65.
Chinese factories using formaldehyde to make cheaper products. Brought to you by the same people who used melamine in milk, & excess sulfur in drywall. It will only result in lawsuits & if Lumber Liquidators still operates higher costs for compliant flooring & loss of business due to higher retail prices. Anyone who has doubt & has a substantial position best thing I recommend buy a few boxes of their Chinese flooring & have it tested yourself.
The only way the GTC orders become a problem is if people set "DNR" orders "Do Not Reduce" so the limit price remains the same after the dividend.
Generally higher valuations due to ZIOP & the group in general. Bill Miller highly recommended stock on CNBChttp://finance.yahoo.com/video/could-stock-decade-bill-miller-212900795.html , the MD Anderson agreement started it. The secondary offering also went very well. Cheers!
I love these analyst comments. "Pier 1 Imports downgraded to Accumulate from Buy at Johnson Rice (pre-open)" Were they able to sell at $16 + did any of their customers? I don't think so. Man up and admit the mistake you were sellers in the low teens.
Awfully noble of them to give away money while shareholders got taken to the cleaners. This is just a setup to retain those customers and allows Leucadia/Jefferies to take it over clean.
