Hmm. Looks like Apple chose GF and Samsung to make Apple's proprietary A9 CPU for the next iPhone. On the other hand, Intel beat out Qualcomm for the LTE modem slot in the next iPhone. Intel will obviously be making the Intel LTE modem chips used by Apple.
So we have phone wins with Apple for GF, Samsung and Intel. Alas, no wins in any phone anyplace on the planet for AMD.
Suck it down fantards!
Suck it down fantards.
Well, no. It doesn't mean AMD is getting into anything. It means instead that incompetent AMD is licensing one of the few IP assets it own that are not encumbered by the Intel license to a better run, better funded company that might actually be able to fix broken Radeon and rack up some market share of its own. This is likely a prelude to an outright sale of the GPU technology assets to Media Tek. AMD is in the process of quietly voluntarily liquidating.
You knew that Mantle was doomed when, at launch, AMD had only one single adopter who had ever previously published a game title, and a handful of new publishers with zero titles to their name.
Get ready to short.
Intel is rising on products and market share dominance. Same with nVidia.
AMD is rising because a pump and dump play is in the works, since AMD had no high demand products or prospects.
Fund managers will often use sector peer gains as a pretext for bidding up a stock using a sucker play, and then dumping it, leaving the suckers holding the bag.
AMD goes through at least one or two pump and dump cycles per year.
