Hate to disagree, but I don't think we will have to take a product to market to be highly rewarded. We will be rewarded for the discovery, not the product. Much bigger deal. More reward.
So they give you $45 mil to play around the lab and cure stuff. What do you owe to whom after the money is spent and the research is complete? Is it like you got free money, or are you committed to some sort of payback? Seriously
